Sofia Vergara Bullied for Exploiting Colombian Accent
- Colombian actress and model, Sofia Vergara, is known to be beautiful and sexy. Not only that, his accent or dialect is also considered attractive by some of his interlocutors.

Because of her unique accent, her appearance in the series Modern Family as Gloria Pritchett received attention. This character also made him get many offers in other comedy series with his accent attached to him.

But unfortunately, her accent, which was considered Sofia Vergara's trademark, actually backfired. The uniqueness of this accent is like a double-edged sword which also makes him bullied.

“I feel embarrassed to be Gloria again. But I can't get rid of this accent no matter what," said Sofia Vergara as reported by The Hollywood Reporter some time ago.

The woman who was born in July 1971 also tried to get rid of this accent at the beginning of her career. One way is to hire a private tutor to get rid of the dialect.

"When I moved to LA I was like, 'I can't believe Penelope Cruz or Salma Hayek didn't change their accent, they would have more opportunities (if they changed their accent). So I tried it."
"I also spent a lot of money and time hiring people to teach me and that was really stupid," explained Sofia Vergara.
Her role as Gloria Pritchett with a Colombian accent on Modern Family has been around for 11 years, making it difficult for her to get another character.

This even forced him to lie to his agent in order to get another job. Who would have thought that this lie would actually make him try out new things.

“I claim to be able to sing and dance. Why not? I also don't think they will offer me. But it turns out they instead offered an audition for Broadway entitled Chicago. "I ended up playing Mama Morton in Chicago," concluded Sofia Vergara.
