Member of KKB Group Egianus Kogoya in Puncak Papua Shot to Death

A KKB member named Enius Tabuni in Puncak Regency, Central Papua Province was shot dead. 

 - A member of the armed criminal group named Enius Tabuni (22) in Puncak Regency, Central Papua Province was shot dead. 


Enius Tabuni is a member of the KKB of the Egianus Kogoya group which often disturbs the security of residents in the area. 

Papua Police Chief Inspector General Pol Mathius Fakhiri said Enius died during a shootout between the TNI-Polri and the KKB group. 
The incident occurred when KKB members chased a motorcycle taxi driver in Ilaga on Wednesday (22/3). 


During the chase, TNI-Polri members saw about 15 KKB members carrying three rifles running towards Gome. 

A shootout ensued, causing one KKB to die. The body of Enius Tabuni himself was immediately taken to the local health center. 


"The body was then handed over to the family for burial," he said as quoted by Antara, Friday (23/3). 

Head of Public Relations of the Papua Regional Police Kombes Ignatius Benny Prabowo previously said that a motorcycle taxi driver named Irwan was shot dead by members of the KKB. 


The KKB member was Irwan's passenger, but after being escorted to the location, he immediately shot the victim from behind. 

Irwan's body was immediately evacuated to Timika to be sent to Makassar to his hometown. (ant)
