THE PRESIDENT of the Israeli Football Federation (IFA), Moshe Zuares, is optimistic that FIFA will not remove them from membership in the World Football Federation. Moshe Zuares believes that so far the IFA has not violated anything in the rules set by FIFA or UEFA.
Medio last week when FIFA held its annual congress in Bangkok, Thailand, the president of the Palestinian Football Federation (PFA) Jibril Rajoub submitted a proposal to FIFA. The proposal contains a request for FIFA to remove Israel from membership.

The request was submitted due to Israeli military aggression which caused thousands of Palestinian civilians to die. It didn't stop there, Israel also emasculated the rights of Palestinian footballers, destroying a number of Palestinian sports facilities.
Because of this, it is reported that FIFA will hold an emergency congress to determine Israel's fate, no later than Saturday, July 20 2024. However, Moshe Zuares is not worried. He assessed that the IFA had always been on track and had never committed any violations.
"Once again, we face cynical political and hostile efforts from the PFA, which seeks to harm Israel," said Moshe Zuares, Okezone quoting from DW.
Is the International Olympic Committee saying this, the Israeli U-23 National Team will still play at the 2024 Paris Olympics even though FIFA has dropped it?
"IFA has never violated the rules set by FIFA or UEFA," said Moshe Zuares in front of hundreds of FIFA members in Bangkok, Thailand.
So, what is the reason why the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and FIFA have not punished Israel? In fact, when Russia invaded Ukraine, the IOC and FIFA immediately imposed penalties on Russia.

"The sanctions against Russia are based on the fact that Russia and the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) have violated an important element of the Olympic Games, namely the Olympic Charter," said Pierre-Olivier Beckers as a member of the IOC and president of the Olympic Coordination Commission, Okezone, quoting Marca.
“Russia was punished for carrying out annexation (forcible annexation) of sports organizations in several regions of Ukraine. "At the same time, the Israeli and Palestinian Olympic Committees live side by side peacefully," concluded Pierre-Olivier Beckers.
