- Celebrities are known for their obsession with luxury goods, from expensive watches to animal skin bags. But what is trending now is the Cybertruck made by the company owned by Elon Musk, Tesla.
Famous tennis player Serena Williams, filmmakers Spike Lee, Kim Kardashian, Hayley and Justin Bieber and rapper Bad Bunny are among the many celebrities who own this futuristic electric vehicle (EV) worth USD 100 thousand or the equivalent of IDR 1.5 billion.
"Basically, a status symbol is something that will attract attention, and it's hard not to attract attention if you drive a Cybertruck," said Ivan Drury, an automotive analyst, as quoted by Business Insider.

The Cybertruck is marketed because it gives consumers the opportunity to drive in luxury. Knowing that celebrities are very interested in the EV, Musk also commented.
"They clearly have good taste!," he wrote on his personal X/Twitter account.

His comments were in response to a Teslaconomics post that included images of Lady Gaga, Jay Leno, and Beyoncé with their Cybertrucks.
"No car company in the world has the level and natural range displayed by these celebrities driving today's hottest vehicles," wrote Teslanomics.
"Tesla doesn't need to advertise, because these guys do it for them." That's what the Teslanomics post says.

Demand for these electric vehicles is so high that buyers are even willing to buy Cybertrucks at double the original price. One of the Cybertruck owners sold the EV he bought for USD 102,000 to another dealer for USD 244,500 (equivalent to IDR 3.7 billion) at an auction in Dallas, Texas, USA.
A number of reports also say that customers continue to have difficulty obtaining the vehicle after years of production delays, which may increase curiosity about owning the vehicle.

- Para selebriti dikenal dengan obsesinya terhadap barang-barang mewah, dari jam tangan mahal hingga tas kulit hewan. Namun yang sedang jadi tren sekarang adalah Cybertruck buatan perusahaan milik Elon Musk, Tesla.
Pemain tenis terkenal Serena Williams, pembuat film Spike Lee, Kim Kardashian, Hayley dan Justin Bieber serta rapper Bad Bunny termasuk di antara banyak selebritas yang memiliki kendaraan listrik (EV) futuristik senilai USD 100 ribu atau setara Rp 1,5 miliar ini.
"Pada dasarnya, simbol status adalah sesuatu yang akan menarik perhatian, dan sulit untuk tidak menarik perhatian jika berkendara menggunakan Cybertruck," kata Ivan Drury, analis bidang otomotif seperti dikutip dari Business Insider.

Cybertruck dipasarkan karena memberikan kesempatan pada konsumen untuk berkendara dalam kemewahan. Mengetahui para selebriti sangat berminat pada EV tersebut, Musk pun berkomentar.
"Mereka jelas memiliki selera yang bagus!," tulisnya di akun X/Twitter pribadinya.

Komentarnya itu menanggapi postingan Teslaconomics yang menyertakan gambar Lady Gaga, Jay Leno, dan Beyonce bersama Cybertrucks mereka.
"Tidak ada perusahaan mobil di dunia yang memiliki level dan jangkauan alami yang ditampilkan oleh para selebriti ini dengan mengendarai kendaraan paling hits saat ini," tulis Teslanomics.
"Tesla tidak perlu beriklan, karena orang-orang ini melakukannya untuk mereka." Demikian bunyi postingan Teslanomics.

Permintaan kendaraan listrik tersebut sangat tinggi sehingga pembeli bahkan rela membeli Cybertruck dengan harga dua kali lipat dari harga aslinya. Salah satu pemilik Cybertruck menjual EV yang dibelinya seharga USD 102.000 ke dealer lain seharga USD 244.500 (setara Rp 3,7 miliar) pada sebuah acara lelang di Dallas, Texas, AS.
Sejumlah laporan juga menyebutkan, pelanggan tetap kesulitan mendapatkan kendaraan tersebut setelah penundaan produksi selama bertahun-tahun, yang mungkin menambah rasa penasaran ingin memiliki kendaraan tersebut.
