Taylor Swift Wins Fourth Title as World's Best-Selling Musician

- Good news for Swifties all over the world! Taylor Swift has officially been named the Best-Selling Global Recording Artist of 2023 by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), the organization that represents the world's recorded music industry.
This isn't the first time, you know, for Taylor Swift. This is his fourth title since this award was established 11 years ago!
"We are very proud to present this award to Taylor Swift for the fourth time," said Lewis Morrison, IFPI Director of Charts & Certification.
"He's an incredible talent who continues to push the boundaries of global success. His commitment to his music and fans is phenomenal."
What's even more amazing is that this award is calculated based on global sales across all formats, from streaming, download and physical, throughout the year, covering all of the artist's work.
So, it's not surprising if Taylor Swift wins again. This year alone, he has released 3 albums: Midnights and Taylor's Version from Speak Now and 1989. All three immediately topped the charts!
Not to mention the phenomenal Eras tour. This tour made Taylor Swift's music catalog on streaming platforms like a revival.
The proof is that the song Cruel Summer, which was released in 2019, topped the charts all over the world, 4 years later! Very cool, right?
But Taylor Swift is not alone at the top. This year, K-Pop is increasingly showing its dominance.
There are SEVENTEEN and Stray Kids who followed in second and third place. What's even cooler is that there are 4 other K-Pop groups that are in the Top 10, namely TOMORROW X TOGETHER, NewJeans, IVE, and NCT Dream.
Apart from that, there are also new stars from various genres appearing on the chart, such as American country artists Morgan Wallen, Lana Del Rey, King & Prince (Japan), SZA (US), and Zach Bryan (US).
