HOLIDAY NEWS – Like it or not, Xiaomi cellphones are one of the best HP brands ever in Indonesia and a nightmare for Samsung.
Since releasing the Mi 1 in 2011, they have developed and produced many great cellphones in their respective classes. In the near future, they will release the Xiaomi 14 cellphone. This will be the first cellphone to use Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
However, before touching on their newest product, let's take a look back at the best Xiaomi cellphones so far. This best parameter certainly means "best in its class". Understandably, currently, Samsung is still the best Android phone. Sorry, MiUi.
Maybe I have never tried out all of their products directly, especially in the initial phase. But at least, since 2018, I have tried out more than 20 Xiaomi cellphones. Therefore, I made this "best list" based on my experience of using it, or at least I have tried it. Well, here is the list.
Redmi Note 5 paved the way for me to get to know Xiaomi cellphones
For some reason, in the past, I felt that Redmi Note was their best series. This cellphone opened the way for me to get to know Xiaomi more closely. And I think, this cellphone is also what makes me have special feelings for him. From the past until now, I almost always have their cellphone either as a second or third cellphone. Even now, I still actively use the Redmi Note 5.
Even though it is very old school, in its time, this was one of the best cellphones. This is a cellphone that I always recommend to many people. In fact, because of its best, the Redmi Note 5 became the cellphone that started the term "unseen cellphone" in the smartphone market in Indonesia. In the past, the price could even go up by several hundred thousand in stores, and it was quite difficult to get an official one. It's a bit strange, but the price of the official phone is even cheaper than the "inter" version.
Xiaomi Mi 13T cellphone, the cellphone with the best camera this year
Xiaomi Mi 13T is one of the cellphones with the best camera this year. Yes, even though it's not super good, for the price, it's seriously worth buying. Moreover, the Leica branding on the camera is not just a stick-on. The results are indeed good and satisfying. Whether it's bright, dark, selfie, ultrawide, it's all good. The video results are also pretty good.
Interestingly, the specifications of the Mi 13T are not "tiny", it doesn't just win on the camera. Multitasking and gaming are really good thanks to the Mediatek Dimensity 8200 Ultra, an AnTuTu score of 800 thousand and lots of RAM. The price, for only IDR 6.5 million, you can get a cool cellphone and this is the first Xiaomi cellphone to get Android updates for the next 4 years.
Redmi Note 7
Whether it's the Redmi Note 7 or the Redmi Note 7 Pro, both are one of the best-selling Xiaomi cellphones of all time. In total, the series generated 20 million unit sales worldwide.
It's natural, his cellphone is that good. Moreover, in terms of design, this cellphone also offers a new impression for middle class cellphones with a glass-like finish on the rear body. With its Snapdragon 660, this HP series became a champion in the middle class at that time.
Mi 11 Ultra
This product is the most ambitious cellphone. Seeing that the price has reached IDR 17 million, this is the most expensive Xiaomi flagship cellphone ever released in Indonesia. If most of their flagships are in the early tens of millions range, then the Mi 11 Ultra provides all the facilities without being compromised at a price that is "slightly" more expensive, but still cheaper than the brand next door.
Indeed, the Mi 11 Ultra doesn't seem to be doing very well in terms of sales. However, as a cellphone, I will always remember it as the most complete product that Xiaomi has ever released. Camera? Champion. Specification? Special. Other features? Complete. The only thing missing is the MiUi. Try that HP gets OneUI, it will definitely be the best cellphone.
Redmi Note 8
This is the best-selling series from Xiaomi, and is a sign that even series (number) Redmi Note HPs are more worth it. Their sales reached 30 million units worldwide. So it's legal that this cellphone became a "magical cellphone" after its release. It's so magical, it's quite difficult for me to find an official Redmi Note 8 Pro at a normal price, even the official stores are often empty. The design is beautiful, the performance is great, and the camera is good.
Redmi 9 Series
Whether it's the Redmi 9A, Redmi 9C, regular Redmi 9, or Redmi 9T, all four are "lower series" cellphones that have really good price to performance. In fact, when the newest series appeared, in my opinion the Redmi 9 Series was still more worth it. Moreover, with prices starting at IDR 1.3 million, we can get a cellphone that is comfortable to use every day. And, to this day, I still have the cute orange Redmi 9C.
Redmi Note 10S
Redmi Note 10 is the best of the entire Redmi Note series. However, the Redmi Note 10S is the best of this series. This cellphone has provided many things even though the price did not reach IDR 3 million at that time. Chipset? Oh my, Mediatek Helio G95. Want to use it for speeding, delicious, smooth. Camera, yes okay for its class.
Screen? Satisfying. With a 6.4 inch AMOLED screen, multimedia affairs are super delicious. I'm still using this even though the Redmi Note 12 Series has come out. Unfortunately, a friend was interested in this cellphone and immediately bought it. You could say, until now, the Redmi Note 10S has not been matched even by the Redmi Note 11 and 12 series.
Xiaomi 12 cellphone
Xiaomi 13 may be good, but it is not officially available in Indonesia. Maybe because sales of this cellphone, the Xiaomi 12 series, are not satisfactory. Maybe they have given up on bringing flagship cellphones to Indonesia. So, they prefer to include the 13T series rather than the flagship series.
Even so, this cellphone is still a flagship. The best processor of the year, a good camera and a more affordable price. In fact, for the Xiaomi 12 Pro series, the price is only around IDR 13 million. Excellent. Unfortunately, their good cellphones are still not very attractive. They prefer cellphones that are still under IDR 7 million for this brand.
Maybe that's why we don't need to expect too much from Xiaomi 14. The problem is that if it isn't officially released in Indonesia, it will still be more difficult to buy. But yes, it also makes sense if Xiaomi Indonesia doesn't carry it. The Indonesian public prefers to choose other big brands such as Apple or Samsung for cellphones above IDR 10 million.
Honorable mention: Mi 8 Explorer Edition
I think this is an interesting HP flagship concept. Unfortunately, the Mi 8 Explorer Edition did not officially enter Indonesia. But because I like it, I'll just include an honorable mention.
So, the Mi 8 is indeed a special series to celebrate Xiaomi's 8th anniversary in 2018. Although in fact for other matters it is standard flagship. However, in terms of design, the Mi 8 Explorer Edition is really interesting. The rear body has a transparent design, so that from the outside you can see the innards of the cellphone.
That's a list of the best Xiaomi phones ever released, and at least I've tried them so far. Maybe there are some of you who don't agree and that's okay. Anyway, this is my opinion.
If, for example, another Xiaomi cellphone is not included in this list, it could be that it is indeed good, but just doesn't suit my needs. After all, no matter how expensive a good cellphone is, we still buy a cellphone according to our budget, right?

HOLIDAY NEWS – Suka atau tidak, HP Xiaomi adalah salah satu brand HP terbaik yang pernah ada di Indonesia dan menjadi mimpi buruk untuk Samsung.
Sejak merilis Mi 1 pada 2011, mereka telah berkembang dan menghasilkan banyak HP hebat untuk kelasnya masing-masing. Dalam waktu dekat, mereka akan merilis HP Xiaomi 14. Ini akan menjadi HP pertama yang menggunakan Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
Namun, sebelum menyentuh produk terbaru mereka, mari kita melakukan kilas balik HP Xiaomi terbaik selama ini. Parameter terbaik ini tentu dalam arti “terbaik di kelasnya”. Maklum, saat ini, Samsung masih menjadi HP Android terbaik. Mohon maaf ya, MiUi.
Mungkin saya tidak pernah menjajal langsung semua produk mereka, apalagi di fase awal berdiri. Namun setidaknya, sejak 2018, saya sudah pernah menjajal lebih dari 20 HP Xiaomi. Oleh karena itu, “daftar terbaik” ini saya buat berdasar pengalaman penggunaan, atau setidaknya saya pernah menjajahnya saja ya. Nah, berikut adalah daftarnya.
Redmi Note 5 membuka jalan bagi saya mengenal HP Xiaomi
Entah kenapa, dulu, saya merasa kalau Redmi Note adalah seri terbaik mereka. HP inilah yang membuka jalan bagi saya untuk mengenal Xiaomi lebih dekat. Dan saya kira, HP ini juga yang membuat saya memiliki perasaan tersendiri kepadanya. Sejak dulu sampai sekarang, saya hampir selalu memiliki HP mereka entah sebagai HP kedua atau ketiga. Bahkan hingga sekarang, saya masih aktif menggunakan Redmi Note 5.
Walau sudah jadul sekali, pada masanya, ini adalah salah satu HP terbaik. Ini HP yang selalu saya rekomendasikan untuk banyak orang. Bahkan, saking the best-nya, Redmi Note 5 menjadi HP yang memulai istilah “HP gaib” di pasar smartphone di Indonesia. Dulu, harganya bahkan bisa naik beberapa ratus ribu di toko, dan agak sulit untuk mendapat yang resmi. Agak aneh, tapi harga ponsel resminya bahkan lebih murah dari versi ”internya”.
HP Xiaomi Mi 13T, HP dengan kamera terbaik tahun ini
Xiaomi Mi 13T adalah salah satu HP dengan kamera terbaik tahun ini. Ya meski bukan yang super bagus banget, tapi dengan harganya, serius ini worth to buy banget. Apalagi, branding Leica di bagian kameranya ini bukan sekadar tempel doang. Hasilnya memang bagus dan memuaskan. Mau kondisi cerah, gelap, selfie, ultrawide, semua bagus. Hasil videonya juga lumayan, lah.
Menariknya, spek Mi 13T ini nggak “kaleng-kaleng”, nggak sekadar menang kamera doang. Urusan multitasking dan gaming jadi oke banget berkat Mediatek Dimensity 8200 Ultra, skor AnTuTu 800 ribuan, dan RAM besar. Harganya, cuma dengan Rp6,5 juta, kamu bisa mendapatkan HP keren dan ini jadi HP Xiaomi pertama yang mendapatkan update Android hingga 4 tahun ke depan.
Redmi Note 7
Mau itu Redmi Note 7 atau Redmi Note 7 Pro, keduanya menjadi salah satu HP Xiaomi paling laris sepanjang masa. Total, seri ini menghasilkan 20 juta unit penjualan di seluruh dunia.
Wajar sih, HPnya memang sebagus itu. Apalagi, secara desain, HP ini juga menawarkan kesan baru bagi HP kelas menengah dengan finishing seperti kaca di bodi belakang. Dengan Snapdragon 660-nya, seri HP ini menjadi jawara di kelas menengah pada masanya.
Mi 11 Ultra
Produk yang satu ini adalah HP paling ambisius. Melihat harganya yang menembus Rp17 juta, ini adalah HP flagship Xiaomi termahal yang pernah rilis di Indonesia. Jika kebanyakan flagship mereka ada di kisaran belasan juta awal, maka Mi 11 Ultra memberikan semua fasilitas tanpa dikorting dengan harga yang “sedikit” lebih mahal, tapi tetap lebih murah dari brand sebelah.
Memang, Mi 11 Ultra sepertinya tidak terlalu bagus secara penjualan. Namun, sebagai sebuah HP, ia akan selalu saya kenang sebagai produk paling lengkap yang pernah Xiaomi rilis. Kamera? Jago. Spesifikasi? Spesial. Fitur lainnya? Lengkap. Yang kurang ya cuma MiUi-nya aja sih. Coba itu HP mendapatkan OneUI, pasti jadi HP terbaik.
Redmi Note 8
Ini adalah seri paling laris dari Xiaomi, dan menjadi penanda jika HP Redmi Note seri (angka) genap lebih worth it. Penjualan mereka itu sampai menembus 30 juta unit di dunia. Maka sah, kalau HP ini menjadi “HP gaib” selepas rilis. Saking gaibnya, saya cukup sulit menemukan Redmi Note 8 Pro resmi dengan harga normal, bahkan di toko resmi saja sering kosong. Desainnya memang cantik, performa mantap, dan kamera bagus.
Redmi 9 Series
Mau itu Redmi 9A, Redmi 9C, Redmi 9 biasa, atau Redmi 9T, keempatnya adalah HP “seri bawah” yang punya price to perform yang oke banget. Bahkan, ketika seri paling barunya muncul, menurut saya Redmi 9 Series ini tetap lebih worth it. Apalagi, dengan harga mulai Rp1,3 juta, kita bisa mendapatkan HP yang sudah enak dipakai sehari-hari. Dan saya, sampai saat ini, masih punya Redmi 9C yang warna oranye cakep itu.
Redmi Note 10S
Redmi Note 10 adalah seri terbaik dari seluruh seri Redmi Note. Namun, Redmi Note 10S adalah yang terbaik dari seri terbaik ini. HP ini sudah memberikan banyak hal meski harganya nggak sampai Rp3 juta waktu itu. Chipset? Aduhai, Mediatek Helio G95. Mau dipakai ngapa-ngapain ngebut, enak, smooth. Kamera, ya okelah untuk kelasnya.
Layar? Memuaskan. Dengan layar Amoled 6,4 inch, urusan multimedia super enak. Saya saja masih pakai ini walau Redmi Note 12 Series sudah keluar. Sayangnya, ada teman meminati HP ini dan langsung membelinya. Boleh dibilang, sampai saat ini, Redmi Note 10S belum tertandingi bahkan untuk Redmi Note 11 dan 12 series.
HP Xiaomi 12
Xiaomi 13 boleh bagus, tapi tidak masuk resmi di Indonesia. Mungkin karena penjualan HP ini, Xiaomi 12 series, tidak memuaskan. Boleh jadi mereka kapok mendatangkan HP flagship ke Indonesia. Jadi, mereka lebih memilih memasukkan seri 13T ketimbang seri flagship-nya.
Meski begitu ya HP ini tetap flagship. Prosesor terbaik tahun itu, kamera yang bagus, dan harga yang lebih terjangkau. Bahkan, untuk seri Xiaomi 12 Pro, harganya cuma di kisaran Rp13 juta saja. Mantap. Sayangnya, HP mereka yang bagus begini masih kurang menarik. Mereka lebih memilih HP yang masih di bawah Rp7 jutaan untuk merek ini.
Mungkin karena itulah kita nggak perlu terlalu berharap banyak sama Xiaomi 14. Soalnya kalau nggak rilis resmi di Indonesia, ya tetap lebih susah untuk membeli. Tapi ya masuk akal juga jika memang Xiaomi Indonesia tidak membawanya. Publik Indonesia lebih suka memilih brand besar lain seperti Apple atau Samsung untuk HP di atas Rp10 juta.
Honorable mention: Mi 8 Explorer Edition
Menurut saya ini konsep HP flagship yang menarik. Sayangnya, Mi 8 Explorer Edition ini nggak masuk resmi ke Indonesia. Tapi karena saya suka, ya saya masukin honorable mention saja.
Jadi, Mi 8 ini memang seri spesial untuk merayakan ulang tahun ke-8 Xiaomi pada 2018. Meski sebenarnya untuk urusan lainnya ya standar flagship. Namun, untuk urusan desain, Mi 8 Explorer Edition ini menarik banget. Bodi belakangnya ini membawa desain transparan, sehingga dari luar bisa terlihat jeroan HPnya.
Itulah deretan ponsel Xiaomi terbaik yang pernah dirilis, dan setidaknya sudah saya mencobanya selama ini. Mungkin ada sebagian kalian yang nggak sepakat dan itu ya nggak apa. Toh, ini kan pendapat saya.
Kalau misal ada HP Xiaomi lain nggak masuk daftar ini, bisa jadi itu memang bagus, tapi belum sesuai kebutuhan saya saja. Toh semahal-mahalnya HP bagus, tetap saja kita membeli HP sesuai budget, kan.
