Step on the gas! Fast Train Goes 300 Km/Hour, Jakarta-Bandung 20 Minutes!
The Jakarta-Bandung fast train has been tested with a speed of 300 kilometers per hour today. Septian Hario Seto, the Deputy for Investment and Mining at the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, revealed the trial run.
Seto shared a video and several photos when he took part in the fast train trial with detikcom. According to him, with a speed of 300 km/hour, the travel time from Jakarta to Bandung in this case from Halim Station to Padalarang is only 20 minutes.
Padalarang is located in West Bandung Regency. So fast train passengers can connect with the Feeder Train to Bandung Station with a travel time of 18 minutes.
In the video he gave, the fast train was tested in heavy rain. Seto also shared the atmosphere in the train's wheelhouse, where the speed indicator shows the number 300 km/hour.

"Today I had the opportunity to try the Fast Train with a speed of 300 km/hour in heavy rain conditions. It only took 20 minutes from Halim Station to Padalarang Station," said Seto to detikcom, Friday (16/6/2023).
Seto said that even though the train was going very fast, the ride felt very stable without any jolts. "The speed of the train is very stable and there is almost no shaking," he said.
The target is, on August 18 2023, the Jakarta-Bandung Fast Train will be able to be enjoyed by the public. For the trial, he said people could try it for free but had to register.
"Our target is August 18, this fast train can be enjoyed by the public by registering free of charge," said Seto.

Kereta Cepat Jakarta-Bandung mulai diuji coba dengan kecepatan 300 kilometer per jam hari ini. Uji coba itu diungkapkan oleh Deputi Bidang Investasi dan Pertambangan Kemenko Marves Septian Hario Seto.
Seto membagikan video dan beberapa foto saat ikut melakukan uji coba kereta cepat kepada detikcom. Menurutnya, dengan kecepatan 300 km/jam, waktu tempuh Jakarta-Bandung dalam hal ini dari Stasiun Halim ke Padalarang cuma 20 menit saja.
Padalarang terletak di Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Jadi penumpang kereta cepat bisa menyambung dengan KA Feeder untuk ke Stasiun Bandung dengan waktu tempuh 18 menit.
Dalam video yang dia berikan kereta cepat diuji coba di tengah hujan deras. Seto juga membagikan suasana di ruang kemudi kereta, nampak penunjuk kecepatan memperlihatkan angka 300 km/jam.

"Hari ini saya mendapatkan kesempatan untuk mencoba Kereta Cepat dengan kecepatan 300 km/jam dengan kondisi hujan deras. Dari Stasiun Halim ke Stasiun Padalarang cuma 20 menit," kata Seto kepada detikcom, Jumat (16/6/2023).
Seto mengatakan meskipun kereta melaju sangat cepat, perjalanan terasa sangat stabil tanpa ada goncangan. "Laju kereta sangat stabil dan hampir tidak ada goncangan," katanya.
Targetnya, tanggal 18 Agustus 2023, Kereta Cepat Jakarta-Bandung akan bisa dinikmati masyarakat. Untuk uji coba, katanya masyarakat bisa menjajal gratis namun harus mendaftar.
"Target kita 18 agustus, kereta cepat ini bisa dinikmati masyarakat dengan mendaftar tanpa dikenakan biaya," sebut Seto.
