NasDem Hopes the 8th President of the Republic of Indonesia in SBY's Dream Is Anies Baswedan
The NasDem Party responded to the Chairman of the Democratic Party's Upper House, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), who dreamed of taking a train with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia Megawati Soekarnoputri and meeting the 8th president of the Republic of Indonesia. NasDem has its own interpretation of the figure of the next president.
"Yes, that's a hope, yes, that our 2024 Election journey will run safely, peacefully, and there will be no clashes, no attempts to bring each other down, everyone can compete with the same spirit, namely the spirit of democracy," Tobas said at the Parliament Complex , Senayan, Jakarta, Monday(19/6/2023).
Tobas said the dream conveyed by SBY was a hope. He also wanted to read this message as a positive impression.

"So this is a hope conveyed by Mr. SBY, yes, hopefully that will happen. Yes (the three Presidents in their respective periods), so if I read it, it's like interpreting a dream, right? But I try to read it positively, that Pak SBY hopes apart from wanting the 2024 election to run peacefully," said Tobas.
"I also want to invite the presidents in each period to be able to become pioneers of democracy, create an atmosphere of democracy, then there are no efforts to use certain tools to make democracy decrease in quality, so that's more of a problem," he continued.
Tobas also responded to the emergence of the 8th president of the Republic of Indonesia which was called SBY in a meeting with Mega and Jokowi in his dream. He considered the 8th President to be Anies Baswedan.
"Yes, from the NasDem Party it is clear, our hope is Mr. Anies Baswedan. Hopefully that will happen and this hopefully we have the same dream, the same as Mr. SBY, the 8th President is Mr. Anies Baswedan," said Tobas.
"It's more than just a hope, a hope for better democracy. Hopefully this can be realized in the 2024 elections because there are indeed quite a lot of concerns that the quality of our democracy will decline in the 2024 elections," he said.
Previously, SBY tweeted this on his Twitter account, @SBYudhoyono, Monday (19/6/2023) afternoon. This tweet was delivered directly by SBY because it was marked *SBY*.
In his tweet, SBY dreamed that one day Jokowi would come to Cikeas. He and Jokowi then picked Megawati up at her residence to then depart for Gambir Station.
"I dreamed that one day Mr. Jokowi came to my house in Cikeas and then together to pick up Ms. Megawati at her residence. Then the three of us headed to Gambir Station," said SBY.
The dream continued with the three being awaited by the 8th President of the Republic of Indonesia at Gambir Station. The president, who will be elected in 2024, then chatted before giving the three figures train tickets.
SBY, Jokowi and Megawati, in SBY's tweet, then boarded the train and greeted people along the way. The train actually stopped in Solo and the three of them split up to their respective destinations.

Partai NasDem menanggapi Ketua Majelis Tinggi Partai Demokrat, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), yang bermimpi satu kereta bersama Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) dan Presiden ke-5 RI Megawati Soekarnoputri serta bertemu presiden ke-8 RI. NasDem punya tafsir tersendiri soal sosok presiden selanjutnya.
"Ya itu kan suatu harapan ya, bahwa perjalanan Pemilu 2024 kita berjalan dengan aman, damai, dan tidak ada gontok-gontokan, tidak ada upaya untuk saling menjatuhkan semua bisa berkompetisi dengan semangat yang sama, yaitu semangat demokrasi," kata Tobas di Kompleks Parlemen, Senayan, Jakarta, Senin (19/6/2023).
Tobas mengatakan mimpi yang disampaikan SBY adalah sebuah harapan. Ia pun ingin membaca pesan ini sebagai kesan yang positif.

"Jadi ini adalah suatu harapan yang disampaikan oleh Pak SBY ya, semoga itu yang terjadi harapan itu. Iya (ketiganya Presiden di periode masing-masing), jadi kalau saya membacanya ini kayak menafsirkan mimpi ya. Tapi saya coba membacanya secara positif bahwa harapan Pak SBY selain menginginkan agar pemilu 2024 ini berjalan damai," tutur Tobas.
"Juga ingin mengajak para presiden di tiap periodenya ini untuk mampu menjadi pelopor demokrasi, membuat suasana demokrasi ini tidak kemudian ada upaya-upaya yang menggunakan alat-alat tertentu untuk membuat demokrasinya menjadi kualitasnya menurun, jadi lebih soal itulah," sambungnya.
Tobas pun menanggapi munculnya presiden ke-8 RI yang disebut SBY dalam pertemuan dengan Mega dan Jokowi dalam mimpinya. Ia menilai Presiden ke-8 itu adalah Anies Baswedan.
"Ya kalau dari Partai NasDem jelas, kita harapannya adalah Pak Anies Baswedan. Mudah-mudahan itu yang terjadi dan ini mudah-mudahan impian kita sama, sama dengan Pak SBY, Presiden ke-8 adalah Pak Anies Baswedan," ujar Tobas.
"Itu lebih pada suatu harapan saja, harapan akan demokrasi yang lebih baik. Mudah-mudahan bisa diwujudkan di pemilu 2024 ini karena memang cukup banyak kekhawatiran-kekhawatiran bahwa kualitas demokrasi kita menurun pada pemilu 2024 ini," ungkapnya.
Sebelumnya, SBY mencuitkan hal tersebut di akun Twitternya, @SBYudhoyono, Senin (19/6/2023) siang. Cuitan ini disampaikan langsung oleh SBY karena diberi tanda *SBY*.
Dalam cuitannya, SBY bermimpi suatu hari nanti Jokowi mendatanginya ke Cikeas. Dia dan Jokowi lalu menjemput Megawati di kediamannya untuk selanjutnya berangkat ke Stasiun Gambir.
"Saya bermimpi, di suatu hari Pak Jokowi datang ke rumah saya di Cikeas untuk kemudian bersama-sama menjemput Ibu Megawati di kediamannya. Selanjutnya kami bertiga menuju Stasiun Gambir," kata SBY.
Mimpi itu berlanjut dengan ketiganya sudah ditunggu Presiden ke-8 RI di Stasiun Gambir. Sang presiden yang akan dipilih di 2024 ini kemudian berbincang-bincang sebelum memberikan tiket kereta api untuk ketiga tokoh tersebut.
SBY, Jokowi, dan Megawati, dalam cuitan SBY, selanjutnya naik kereta api dan menyapa rakyat sepanjang perjalanan. Kereta api tersebut ternyata berhenti di Solo dan ketiganya berpisah ke tempat tujuan masing-masing.
