PDIP Reveals Puan Maharani's Children Participate in the 2024 Legislature List
Daughter of the chairman of the DPR RI Puan Maharani, Diah Pikatan Orissa Putri Hapsari or Pinka Hapsari, officially registered herself as the deputy legislator of the DPR RI. Pinka registered through the PDI Perjuangan.
"There is Ms. Pinka who has indeed taken part in the regeneration process, staying at the Party School for three days," said PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto in his statement, Friday (12/5/2023).
Apart from Pinka, a number of other young people also registered themselves as legislative candidates for 2024. One of them, including Aryo Seno Bagaskara, who is still a student.
"Those who have participated have been nominated, including Aryo Seno Bagaskara, who is still a student. They have also been nominated, they are in the same political education class as Mbak Pinka," he said.
However, Hasto did not explain in more detail the Pinka Hapsari electoral district. Hasto said PDIP continues to recruit through education and regeneration processes.
"One of the recruitment processes comes from the family. It is a culture that has been built not only in Indonesia, but also in the United States, in Singapore, in Europe, political parties which are the pillars of democracy recruit from families, although we are also open to figures who want to join," said Hasto.
It is known, the PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) has registered 580 prospective legislative candidates (bacaleg) 2024 to the KPU. The registered legislative candidates included the Chairperson of the Indonesian Parliament, Puan Maharani, and the Minister of Law and Human Rights (Menkumham) Yasonna Laoly.
"From the Ministers of the Indonesia Onward Cabinet, the candidate from the PDI Perjuangan is Mr. Yasonna Laoly," said PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto at the KPU RI office, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Thursday (11/5).
Hasto said the other cabinet ministers from PDIP would focus on helping Jokowi complete his duties at the end of his term. Apart from Yasonna, Puan Maharani was also registered as a candidate for the 2024 legislature.
"Miss Puan, she is the first female Chairperson of the DPR RI, a figure who has gone through tiered assignments. And she became the Chairperson of the DPP for Politics, the Coordinating Minister for PMK whose leadership proved successful as the youngest Coordinating Minister for PMK, and also the first female chairman of the DPR RI. So for these excellent functions, Ms. Puan was also nominated," he said.
