PBNU Disebut Seleksi Kader Jadi Cawapres Ganjar, Pengamat: Kekuasaan Memang Menggoda, Enak dan Lezat
Pengamat politik dari Universitas Al Azhar Indonesia Ujang Komarudin angkat bicara perihal Pengurus Besar Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) yang disebut tengah menyeleksi kader untuk menjadi bakal calon wakil presiden pendamping Ganjar Pranowo.
Hal ini sebagaimana yang diungkapkan oleh Ketua Majelis Pertimbangan Partai Persatuan Pembangunan (PPP) Romahumuziy atau Rommy beberapa waktu lalu.
Ujang mengatakan, apabila kabar tersebut benar terjadi, maka dapat dipastikan bahwa Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) sebagai organisasi masyarakat (ormas) Islam terbesar di Tanah Air membutuhkan agenda politik praktis.
"Jadi saya melihatnya NU juga (memiliki) kebutuhan untuk berpolitik, dan kekuasaan itu memang enak, lezat, maka ya menggoda," kata Ujang kepada Kompas.com, Selasa (16/5/2023).
Selain Rommy, pernyataan Ujang tersebut juga berangkat dari statmen yang pernah disampaikan Sekretaris Jenderal PBNU Saifullah Yusuf atus Gus Ipul pada akhir April 2023.
Ketika itu, Gus Ipul menyebut bahwa banyak warga NU yang menginginkan Menteri BUMN Erick Thohir bisa menjadi cawapres Ganjar.
Bahkan, Gus Ipul mengatakan, Ganjar dan Erick merupakan pasangan ideal yang bisa ditawarkan ke publik dalam Pemilihan Presiden (Pilpres) 2024.
Ujang menuturkan, NU selama ini selalu membentengi diri dari kegiatan politik praktis.
Namun, di saat yang sama, NU juga berkecimpung dalam politik praktis.
Menurut Ujang, keterlibatan NU dalam politik praktis paling kentara ketika dalam Pilpres 2014 dan 2019.
Menurutnya, dalam dua edisi pilpres tersebut, NU terlibat langsung dalam konteks pemenangan politik.
Berkaca dari dua hajatan tersebut, Ujang memprediksi NU akan kembali mengulangi kegiatannya dengan terlibat dalam politik praktis pada Pilpres 2024.
"Saya melihatnya 2024 akan sama. Suka tidak suka, politik itu adalah kebutuhan bagi setiap orang termasuk bagi ormas, mungkin juga bagi kalangan NU yang ada di garis politik," imbuh dia.
Sebelumnya, Ketua Majelis Pertimbangan PPP Romahumuziy PDI-P tengah menjajaki komunikasi dengan PBNU terkait nama-nama kader yang berpotensi menjadi cawapres Ganjar.
??"Karena tidak tertutup kemungkinan juga Bu Mega sebagai pengusung, partainya pengusung Pak Ganjar meminta nama resmi dari PBNU," kata Rommy dalam acara Gaspol! Kompas.com yang ditayangkan YouTube, Kamis (11/5/2023).
Namun, kabar itu dibantah oleh Ketua PBNU Fahrur Rozi yang menegaskan bahwa PBNU tak melakukan pembahasan soal cawapres tertentu.
"Di PBNU tidak ada pembahasan tentang nama cawapres tertentu," kata Fahrur Rozi alias Gus Fahrur saat dihubungi Kompas.com, Sabtu (13/5/2023).

Ujang Komarudin, a political observer from Indonesia's Al Azhar University, spoke about the Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (PBNU), which is said to be selecting cadres to become the vice presidential candidate to accompany Ganjar Pranowo.
This was stated by the Chairman of the Advisory Council of the United Development Party (PPP) Romahumuziy or Rommy some time ago.
Ujang said, if the news is true, then it can be ascertained that Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) as the largest Islamic community organization (ormas) in the country needs a practical political agenda.
"So I see that NU also (has) a need for politics, and power is delicious, delicious, so it's tempting," Ujang told Kompas.com, Tuesday (16/5/2023).
Apart from Rommy, Ujang's statement also departs from a statement that was delivered by PBNU Secretary General Saifullah Yusuf atus Gus Ipul at the end of April 2023.
At that time, Gus Ipul said that many NU members wanted BUMN Minister Erick Thohir to become Ganjar's vice presidential candidate.
In fact, Gus Ipul said, Ganjar and Erick were an ideal partner that could be offered to the public in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).
Ujang said, NU has always fortified itself from practical political activities.
However, at the same time, NU is also involved in practical politics.
According to Ujang, NU's involvement in practical politics was most obvious during the 2014 and 2019 presidential elections.
According to him, in the two editions of the presidential election, NU was directly involved in the context of winning politics.
Reflecting on these two events, Ujang predicts that NU will repeat its activities by engaging in practical politics in the 2024 presidential election.
"I see that 2024 will be the same. Like it or not, politics is a necessity for everyone, including for mass organizations, maybe also for NU members who are in the political line," he added.
Previously, Chairman of the PPP Advisory Council Romahurmuziy PDIP was exploring communication with PBNU regarding the names of cadres who could potentially become Ganjar's cawapres.

However, PBNU chairman Fahrur Rozi denied the news, who emphasized that PBNU had not discussed a specific candidate for vice president.
"At PBNU there is no discussion about the name of a particular vice president," said Fahrur Rozi alias Gus Fahrur when contacted by Kompas.com, Saturday (13/5/2023).
