JAMES GUNN: MATTHEW LILLARD ALMOST TO PLAY PLASTIC MAN

James Gunn almost made a Plastic Man film with actor Matthew Lillard when the two worked together on Scooby-Doo.

The story comes after Lillard, best known for playing Shaggy in the live-action Scooby-Doo films, expressed his desire to appear in a James Gunn film on social media. James Gunn replied that he was "figuring it out" and shared that the two almost made a superhero film together.

In 2000, they met with the president of Warner Bros. to launch a Plastic Man film on the set of Scooby-Doo, where Gunn worked as a screenwriter.
