KEVIN FEIGE CALL FANTASTIC FOUR BECOME A PILLAR OF THE MCU'S FUTURE

Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, has revealed details about the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. One of them is a glimpse of the latest Fantastic Four film adaptation that will be part of Phase 6.
Feige spoke to Entertainment Weekly about Phase 5 starting with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania hitting theaters. He explained the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe starting from the introduction of Kang the Conqueror as the villain and also the Fantastic Four that fans have been waiting for a long time.
As previously known, Phases 4-6 are now referred to as The Multiverse Saga. The saga will end with Avengers: The Kang Dynasty (2025) and Avengers: Secret Wars (2026). Feige acknowledged that Phase 4 was a transitional era from The Infinity Saga in Phases 1-3, where many of the original cast left after such a long time.
He stated Phase 4 to be the introduction of mutant characters like Namor and Kamala Khan. Plus, he's excited that Hugh Jackman will reprise his role as Wolverine in Deadpool 3, the MCU's first R-rated film.
After explaining his hit star-studded Phase 5 film project, he discussed the Fantastic Four as the foundation for everything after appearing in the comics.
“Of course there have been versions of [Fantastic Four on the big screen], but it never made it into the MCU storytelling. And that's something that is really fun for us. People will start hearing more details about it. We plan to make it a big pillar of the MCU going forward, like it's been in the comics for 50 or 60 years," said Feige.
