Ben Affleck: I Wouldn't Direct a James Gunn DC Movie
Ben Affleck has confirmed that he will not be working on any more DC films, which are currently under the leadership of James Gunn and Peter Safran.
"I wouldn't direct a DC James Gunn movie. Definitely not," Ben Affleck said during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
"I have no problem with James Gunn. Nice guy, obviously he's going to do a great job. I just didn't want to go out there and direct their way," Affleck said.
"I'm not interested in that," he continued.
James Gunn previously tweeted in December that he had spoken to Ben Affleck. In a tweet at the time, Gunn said there was a chance for Affleck to direct a DC project under his leadership.
"Meeting with Ben yesterday was precisely because he wanted to direct and we wanted him to direct as well, we just needed to find the right project," Gunn said in response to a fan's question.
Ben Affleck previously played Batman for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League. On Justice League, Affleck served as an executive producer.
