FIFA Decides Indonesia VS Bahrain National Team in Jakarta

HOLIDAY NEWS - FIFA has decided that the Indonesian national team's match against Bahrain will still take place in Jakarta. The Minister of Youth and Sports, Dito Ariotedjo, said this assurance at the State Palace, Jakarta, on Monday, October 21 2024. 

Previously, the Bahrain Football Association or BFA, proposed moving the location of the match between the Indonesian national team and Bahrain to a neutral location. The reason is, they received threats. 

The reason the Bahrain football association refused to play in Indonesia was because it received many threats and cyber attacks on social media, after the match between the two countries, because referee Ahmed Al Kaf gave too long extra time, namely from 90+6 minutes to 90+9 minutes. 

As a result of excessive extra time, Bahrain was able to add a goal and the match ended with a score of 2-2. 

"FIFA has also asked that matches remain in Indonesia, they must be in Indonesia," said Minister of Youth and Sports, Dito Ariotedjo, Monday, October 21 2024.

The reason Bahrain refused to face the Garuda squad in Indonesia was because they were worried about the safety and security of their players and officials.

HOLIDAY NEWS - FIFA putuskan pertandingan Timnas Indonesia melawan Bahrain tetap berlangsung di Jakarta. Kepastian itu dikatakan MenporaDito Ariotedjo di Istana Negara, Jakarta, pada Senin, 21 Oktober 2024.

Sebelumnya, asosiasi sepak bola Bahrain atau BFA, mengajukan kepindahan lokasi pertandingan antara Timnas Indonesia dengan Bahrain di lokasi netral. Alasannya, mereka mendapatkan ancaman.

Alasan asosiasi sepak bola Bahrain menolak bermain di Indonesia, karena mendapat banyak ancaman dan serengan siber di media sosial, paska pertandingan kedua negara, karena wasit Ahmed Al Kaf memberikan waktu tambahan terlampau panjang, yakni dari 90+6 menit menjadi 90+9 menit. 

Akibat perpanjangan waktu yang berlebihan itu, membuat Bahrain bisa menambah gol dan pertandingan berkesudahan dengan skor 2-2.

"FIFA pun juga sudah meminta pertandingan tetap ada di Indonesia harus di Indonesia," ujar Menpora, Dito Ariotedjo, Senin, 21 Oktober 2024.

Alasan Bahrain menolak menghadapi Skuad Garuda di Indonesia karena khawatir atas keselamatan dan keamanan pemain serta official mereka.
