CALIFORNIA - Tesla officially introduced their first humanoid robot, named Optimus. This robot can walk and serve guests, such as serving drinks and distributing gift bags.

As reported by Wion News, Optimus is also shown doing household tasks such as watering plants and picking up packages.

Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, said that in the future, Optimus will be able to do more daily work, such as walking dogs, looking after children, and mowing the grass.

Optimus is expected to sell for around USD 20,000 to USD 30,000.

Even though it cannot be fully used at this time, Musk estimates that this robot will be ready in 2026.

Currently, Optimus has begun to be seen in Tesla factories and continues to be developed so that it can operate independently.

When it debuted in 2022, this robot was still controlled remotely, but now Optimus is able to move on its own.

Apart from introducing Optimus, Tesla also introduced two new autonomous vehicles, namely Cybercab, a driverless taxi, and Robovan, an autonomous vehicle that can carry up to 20 people.

The presence of this autonomous vehicle further shows Tesla's ambition in creating a more sophisticated transportation future.

Elon Musk is very enthusiastic about the development of this robot and believes that Optimus will be the greatest product ever.

This invention is expected to become a favorite among wealthy people looking for cutting-edge technology to help their daily lives.

Although still in the development stage, the Optimus robot shows great potential to help humans with various household chores and other tasks.

Tesla CEO, Elon Musk , showed off a super sophisticated humanoid robot that can do many things, including helping with household chores.

The robot, Optimus, stole the attention at the "We Robot, Tesla Robotaxi Unveil" event which was held at Warner Bros Studio, in Los Angeles, California, on Thursday (10/10).

This Tesla robot is designed to be very human-like, has two legs, two arms, a body and a head, can walk and talk. The 1.8 meter tall robot is very interactive, he can dance to music, be a bartender, and even play rock, scissors and paper.

Musk said that Optimus was basically designed to be able to do various things, such as mowing the grass, cleaning the kitchen, taking care of children, or just being a friend.

In a number of videos shared by user X named @cb_doge, you can see how Optimus chats with visitors. Answering questions that people ask.

In another video captioned "A conversation between Tesla Optimus bot and a human is the best thing you'll see on the internet today," a participant tries to ask Optimus what the hardest part of being a robot is, here's the answer:

“Trying to learn how to be human like you guys? And that is something I try harder to do every day," said Optimus.

Optimus could become a top household assistant (ART) in the future. This robot even has a cheaper price than a Tesla car, which is around 20,000 - 30,000 US dollars or the equivalent of IDR 311 million to IDR 467 million.

Even so, Musk is still silent regarding when Optimus will be officially released to the public. It is possible that Tesla will only sell the Optimus humanoid robot commercially at the end of 2025.

Researchers are actually pessimistic that Tesla can develop Optimus into a versatile robot in just a few years. Dev Nag, CEO of QueryPal, an automation company that uses artificial intelligence (AI), said it will likely be five years or more before people finally see Optimus in their homes.

“Robots still face many challenges in areas such as walking stably on uneven terrain, surviving all day on a single battery charge, and navigating safely around people and pets.” Nag told the New York Post.
