24 Cruise Ships Transport 23,225 Foreign Tourists to Visit Komodo National Park

HOLIDAY NEWS West Manggarai - Head of the TPI Labuan Bajo Jaya Class II Immigration Office, Mahendra, revealed that as many as 24 cruise ships visited Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), during the January-September 2024 period. The cruise ship carries tens of thousands of tourists from various countries. 

"The total number of Indonesian citizens is 116 passengers and 23,225 foreigners," said Mahendra, Tuesday (8/10/2024). 
Mahendra said that most of the cruise ship passengers came from five countries, namely the United States, Australia, England, Canada and Germany. The cruise ship was anchored in the waters of Komodo National Park. 
According to Mahendra, the passengers also took the time to get off the ship and enjoy the various tourist destinations there. Including seeing Komodo dragons in Komodo National Park. 

Mahendra explained that immigration checks on cruise ship passengers were carried out on board the ship. During the immigration inspection process, officers check passports and record data on foreigners entering the area. 
"Checking the validity and validity period of passports, checking preventive lists, checking visas and recording data," explained Mahendra

HOLIDAY NEWS Manggarai Barat - Kepala Kantor Imigrasi Kelas II TPI Labuan Bajo Jaya Mahendra mengungkapkan sebanyak 24 kapal pesiar berkunjung ke Labuan Bajo, Manggarai Barat, Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT), selama periode Januari-September 2024. Kapal pesiar itu mengangkut puluhan ribu wisatawan dari berbagai negara.

"Total jumlah penumpang WNI 116 orang dan WNA 23.225 orang," kata Mahendra, Selasa (8/10/2024).

Mahendra menyebutkan penumpang kapal pesiar tersebut paling banyak berasal dari lima negara, yakni Amerika Serikat, Australia, Inggris, Kanada, dan Jerman. Kapal pesiar itu berlabuh di perairan Taman Nasional Komodo.

Menurut Mahendra, para penumpang juga menyempatkan diri untuk turun dari kapal dan menikmati berbagai destinasi wisata di sana. Termasuk melihat komodo di Taman Nasional Komodo.

Mahendra menjelaskan pemeriksaan keimigrasian terhadap penumpang kapal pesiar itu dilakukan di atas kapal. Saat proses pemeriksaan keimigrasian, petugas memeriksa paspor hingga melakukan perekaman data terhadap orang asing yang masuk wilayah tersebut.

"Pemeriksaan keabsahan dan masa berlaku paspor, pemeriksaan daftar cegah tangkal, pemeriksaan visa dan perekaman data," jelas Mahendra.
