xAI Releases Grok-2 Beta and Grok-2 Mini, What Are They? 

Elon Musk's xAI company recently announced the launch of Grok-2 Beta which gives access to Grok-2 mini and Grok-2 for Premium and Premium+ users on X. 

So, this release itself was planned to occur in August 2024, but instead of the stable version, the version released is a beta release version which is of course still in the initial testing stage. 

So what is Grok-2 Beta and Grok-2 Mini? It can be said that Grok-2 mini and Grok-2 are AI Chatbots with much better capabilities than the existing Grok-1.5, where both are comparable to GPT-4o and Claude 3.5 Sonnet. 

Now these new models are accompanied by new visuals and features where X has also partnered with Black Forest Labs to use their FLUX.1 model and expand Grok's capabilities on X's social media. 

Grok-2 mini is our small but capable model that offers a balance between speed and answer quality. Compared to its predecessor, Grok-2 is more intuitive, steerable, and versatile across a wide range of tasks, whether you're seeking answers, collaborating on writing, or solving coding tasks

Even though this model is much better, unfortunately users have to pay to use Grok on X social media. 

For those of you who have subscribed to X Premium and Premium+, you can select the Grok-2 Beta option from the page https://x.com/i/grok. 

As for capabilities, even though it is claimed to be better, I myself cannot find a significant difference except that the response is faster with more flexible AI. If you are interested, maybe later I will discuss more about Grok-2 Beta.
