HOLIDAY NEWS -- Singer Celine Dion protested that the song My Heart Will Go On was used in Donald Trump's campaign without her permission. He said the iconic song should not be used for any campaign.

As reported by Entertainment Weekly, the song My Heart Will Go On played during the campaign for Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump, in Montana on Saturday (10/8).

"Today, Celine Dion's management team and her record label Sony Music Entertainment Canada Inc., became aware of the unauthorized use of videos, recordings, musical performances and likenesses of Celine Dion singing My Heart Will Go On at the Donald Trump/JD Vance rally in Montana ," wrote Celine's statementDion on Instagram, Sunday (11/8).
"This use is in no way permitted and Celine Dion does not endorse this or any other similar use. ...And seriously choose that song?"

EW said a number of comments emerged after a video featuring the song appeared at a Donald Trump rally, including that it was "the perfect song to play before drowning".

My Heart Will Go On is the theme song for the film Titanic which was released in 1997. Thanks to this song, Celine Dion won an Oscar in the Best Original Song category in 1998. Celine Dion adds to the list of artists protesting against their songs being used in Donald Trump's campaign. In April, representatives of the late Sinead O'Connor criticized Trump for using the song 'Nothing Compares 2 U'.

O'Connor's representative stated "it is no exaggeration to say that Sinéad would be disgusted, hurt and humiliated to have her work misrepresented in this way by someone she herself calls a 'biblical devil'".

Apart from O'Connor, the artists who protested were Pharrell, Johnny Marr from the Smiths, Adele, Guns N' Roses, Aerosmith, Neil Young, Rihanna, Ozzy Osbourne, Nickelback, Linkin Park, the Rolling Stones, Village People, Panik! at the Disco, Queen, and R.E.M. This protest from Celine Dion is not the first time the singer has been allergic to Donald Trump. Celine Dion was asked to perform at Trump's inauguration in 2016, but refused.

However, a representative for Las Vegas casino mogul Steve Wynn said at the time that he "was not asked to book any particular artist for the inauguration, nor has he ever made a commitment to finding any particular performer." Some of the performers at the inauguration event included 3 Doors Down, Toby Keith and Lee Greenwood.

HOLIDAY NEWS --

Penyanyi Celine Dion protes lagu My Heart Will Go On dipakai dalam kampanye Donald Trump tanpa seizin pihaknya.

Diberitakan Entertainment Weekly, lagu My Heart Will Go On berkumandang di tengah kampanye kandidat presiden Partai Republik, Donald Trump, di Montana pada Sabtu (10/8).

My Heart Will Go On merupakan lagu tema untuk film Titanic yang dirilis 1997.

Selain O'Connor, deret artis yang protes yakni, Pharrell, Johnny Marr dari Smiths, Adele, Guns N' Roses, Aerosmith, Neil Young, Rihanna, Ozzy Osbourne, Nickelback, Linkin Park, the Rolling Stones, Village People, Panik! at the Disco, Queen, dan R.E.M.
