BREAKING NEWS: President Jokowi Sets the Name of the Presidential Palace at IKN to be Garuda Palace
HOLIDAY NEWS - The President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) officially gave new names to the main buildings in the Capital City of the Nusantara (IKN) which is located in Sepaku District, North Penajam Paser Regency (PPU).
The new names of important buildings in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) at IKN were determined by President Jokowi in the first internal meeting held in one of the KIPP buildings at the presidential palace at IKN on Monday (29/7/2024).
At the meeting which was attended by a number of regional heads in the IKN delineation area, President Jokowi announced that the President's Office building would now be called Garuda Istana, while the Presidential Palace building would be called the State Palace.
Acting Head of the IKN Authority, Basuki Hadimuldjono, who was also present at the meeting, revealed this name change in a press conference in the lobby of the Garuda Palace.
"Mr President said that this is now called the Garuda Palace, no longer the President's Office. Meanwhile below, it is the State Palace," said Acting Head of the IKN Authority, Basuki Hadimuldjono to the media after attending a joint meeting with President Jokowi.
Basuki explained that the IKN State Palace, which is the official residence of the President of Indonesia, is located in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) in North Penajam Paser Regency. This magnificent building will be the center of various state activities.
Meanwhile, the Garuda Palace, which is located on higher ground behind the State Palace, functions as the official office of the President. Basuki, who also serves as Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), stated that these new names were official and would become part of the IKN identity.
"These names are official. This is the Garuda Palace, and over there is the State Palace. We hope that the public can recognize and identify these facilities easily," concluded Basuki.(*)
BREAKING NEWS: Presiden Jokowi Tetapkan Nama Istana Presiden di IKN Jadi Istana Garuda
HOLIDAY NEWS - Presiden Republik Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) resmi memberikan nama baru bagi gedung-gedung utama di Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN) yang terletak di Kecamatan Sepaku, Kabupaten Penajam Paser Utara (PPU).
Nama baru gedung-gedung penting di dalam Kawasan Inti Pusat Pemerintahan (KIPP) di IKN itu ditetapkan oleh presiden Jokowi dalam rapat internal perdana yang diselenggarakan di salah satu gedung yang KIPP Istana presiden di IKN pada Senin (29/7/2024).
Pada rapat yang dihadiri sejumlah kepala daerah di wilayah delineasi IKN itu, Presiden Jokowi mengumumkan bahwa gedung Kantor Presiden kini bernama Istana Garuda, sementara gedung Istana Kepresidenan akan disebut Istana Negara.
Plt Kepala Otorita IKN, Basuki Hadimuldjono, yang turut hadir dalam rapat tersebut, mengungkapkan perubahan nama ini dalam sebuah konferensi pers di lobi Istana Garuda.
"Bapak Presiden menyampaikan bahwa ini sekarang bernama Istana Garuda, bukan lagi Kantor Presiden. Sedangkan di bawah, itu adalah Istana Negara," ujar Plt Kepala Otorita IKN, Basuki Hadimuldjono kepada media usai mengikuti rapat bersama dengan presiden Jokowi.
Basuki menjelaskan bahwa Istana Negara IKN yang merupakan kediaman resmi Presiden Indonesia, berada di Kawasan Inti Pusat Pemerintahan (KIPP) di Kabupaten Penajam Paser Utara. Gedung megah ini akan menjadi pusat berbagai kegiatan kenegaraan.
Sementara itu, Istana Garuda yang terletak di lahan yang lebih tinggi di belakang Istana Negara, difungsikan sebagai kantor resmi Presiden. Basuki, yang juga menjabat sebagai Menteri Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR), menyatakan bahwa nama-nama baru ini sudah resmi dan akan menjadi bagian dari identitas IKN.
"Nama-nama ini sudah resmi. Ini adalah Istana Garuda, dan di sana adalah Istana Negara. Kami berharap masyarakat bisa mengenal dan mengidentifikasi fasilitas-fasilitas ini dengan mudah," tutup Basuki.(*)
