WEDDING OF DEWI RARA SANTANG AND SULTAN HUD
The story of the marriage of Dewi Rara Santang or Lara Santang with Sultan Hud later gave birth to Sunan Gunung Jati. The story of this marriage is told in several chronicles from Cirebon, one of which is told in the Mertasinga Manuscript.

It was later said that in the land of Banisrail, Sultan Hud's wife died. Not long afterward, the Sultan sent envoys to all corners of the country to look for a replacement, looking for a princess who was equal to the one who had died.
Because the envoy was serious about their search, they finally met brothers and sisters who were performing the Hajj from Pajajaran Country. Namely Prince Cakrabuana and his sister Dewi Rara Santang, whose beauty is similar to the wife of the deceased Sultan.
The messenger then asked about the origins of the two of them, and what the relationship between them was. After Prince Cakrabuana answered that the two of them were brothers, the envoy was happy. So then the messenger brought the two of them to their master to meet
Upon arrival before Sultan Hud.
The Sultan then begged Cakrabwana to allow his sister to marry him. However, Cakrabwana handed it over completely to his younger brother. The younger sister was then willing to marry the Sultan, but with special conditions.
Sultan Hud then agreed to the conditions proposed by Dewi Lara Santang.
These conditions are that in the future, if the result of their second marriage has a first child, a boy, then that child must be allowed to spread Islam in his mother's homeland, namely Tatar Pasundan (Kingdom of Sunda).
Apart from that, Dewi Lara Santang also wanted Sultan Hud's promise to be pledged on the Tursnia hill (Palestine). The Sultan then agreed and the vows were then carried out on Tursina Hill and witnessed by Prince Cakrabwana. After this incident the two of them married.
