- Gal Gadot will not return as Wonder Woman in the DC Universe. Gal Gadot played Diana Prince in several DCEU films, including two solo films, Wonder Woman and the much-criticized Wonder Woman 1984.

Her future as Wonder Woman is unclear after the presence of James Gunn and Peter Safran have plans to reboot the DCEU. This news opened the door for several talented actresses to take over the role. There are several actresses who are said to be replacing Gal Gadot as DC's new Wonder Woman:

1. Alexandra Daddario

Alexandra Daddario is also the same as Ana de Armas, being the most popular figure as Wonder Woman. Daddario's role as the daughter of Athena, Annabeth Chase in two Percy Jackson films makes this actress suitable for taking on Greek mythology.

Daddario was also involved as the voice of Lois Lane in the DC animation Tomorrowverse. There is a big chance, because there is an unwritten agreement, whoever plays Wonder Woman, must also provide voice in animation and video games.

2. Ana de Armas

Ana de Armas is the most popular actress for the role of Wonder Woman in the DC Universe. Moreover, he also feels like Hollywood's most sought after figure.

Apart from that, Ana de Armas also successfully appeared as Paloma in Daniel Craig's last James Bond film, No Time to Die. She also played Sadie Rhodes in Ghosted opposite Chris Evans. Two strong films brought her into the role of Wonder Woman.

3. Jamie Alexander

Jaimie Alexander has experience with superhero films, having played Lady Sif, Thor's co-star in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This character is not developed enough, his figure is easily forgotten on screen.

Alexander has actually been tested when appearing on Blindspot. In the series, he is told as a character who was raised to become a soldier, something that is related to the story of Diana's training in the Amazons.

4. Adria Arjona

Adria Arjona's popularity skyrocketed after her Star Wars universe debut, as Bix Caleen on Disney+'s Andor. Arjona should be the right choice for Wonder Woman in the DC Universe.

Arjona's role in Netflix's 6 Underground with Ryan Reynolds also shows his ability to bring Wonder Woman's epic battles to life. The actress also needed a cooler superhero role after appearing in Morbius.

5. Naomi Scott

There are two reasons why Naomi Scott is suitable to be Wonder Woman. Firstly because she was successful as Princess Jasmine in the live-action Aladdin. Naomi Scott is charismatic when appearing as the iconic Princess Jasmine, just like Diana Prince.

The second consideration was when she played Kimberly, aka Ranger Pink, in Power Rangers. This role gives us confidence, her physique is strong enough to play the Amazon princess in the DC Universe.

6. Lauren Cohan

Lauren Cohan strengthened her dramatic abilities and physical prowess by playing Maggie Rhee, née Greene, in The Walking Dead. Because Maggie's story is the same as Diana Prince, who is a leader and fighter. The actress also has experience with DC characters, having appeared briefly as Martha, respectively, in the DCEU's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

7. Adrianne Palicki

Adrianne Palicki has played Wonder Woman before, although it didn't work out as expected. Palicki brought Diana Prince to life in the television series.
One of the episodes can be watched online, showing Palicki looking cool by giving a different energy. Although it seems like it will be difficult for the actress to replace Gal Gadot.

8. Elizabeth Debicki

The rumor started on the Instagram page dccommunityofbengal. It says, James Gunn wants to work with Elizabeth Debicki, as Wonder Woman. Gunn is known to have worked with the actress in the past. However, this has been denied by Gunn, who is now the boss of the DC Studio project.
"This comes from a website that just makes up a lot of stuff. I love working with Elizabeth but I never even thought about this," Gunn said.
