-- Porn star Stormy Daniels is calling for former President of the United States (US) Donald Trump to be thrown in prison after being convicted of falsifying business records in a scheme to influence the 2016 US Election by giving her hush money.
"I think she should be sentenced to prison and do community service for the underprivileged, or volunteer at a women's shelter," Daniels was quoted as saying by AFP.
Daniels said his experience in court had intimidated him. However, he was happy that his testimony was proven because he had 'told the truth all the time'.
"It's not over for me. It will never be over for me. Trump may be guilty, but I still have to live with his legacy," he said.
This New York Court ruling makes Donald Trump the first former US president to be convicted of a serious crime. In the trial, as reported by CNN, Trump was found guilty of all charges in the hush money case and he will appeal. Jurors answered "Yes," when security officials asked if they found Donald Trump guilty on all 34 charges.
The 77-year-old Trump did not immediately react when the verdict was read. He just sat quietly, his shoulders slumped.
This verdict is very surprising, especially as it occurs during Trump's efforts to reclaim the White House from Joe Biden. The US election will be held in about five months.
