Ayu Lembah Love Story
Ayu Lembah was the Empress of the Kertasura Sultanate of Mataram, she herself was the daughter of Prince Puger, this empress is said to have died tragically because she was caught having an affair with a young man, Patih Sindureja's son.
Ayu Lembah's affair with the son of the Patih of her Kingdom is told in the chronicle Tanah Jawi. Since she was young, Ayu Lembah was married to Raden Mas Sutikna, a Duke of Anom in the Kertasura Sultanate of Mataram.
Raden Mas Sutikna was the son of Amangkurat II, so when his father died, he succeeded to the throne as King in the Kertasura Sultanate. When he became King Kertasura, Raden Mas Rahmat had the title Sri Susuhunan Amangkurat Mas, in history Amangkurat Mas was also known as Amangkurat III.
With the appointment of Raden Mas Sutikna as King, Ayu Lembah automatically rose to the position of Empress. She became an influential woman in the palace besides the king, she was respected and no one dared to deny her request.
It is not explained how Ayu Lembah had an affair in the first place, but according to historical records, she married her cousin Mas Sutikna not out of love, but as a result of a family arrangement, because that was generally how women used to be, even though she was a noble.
Apart from that, Ayu Lembah's affair with her royal governor's son was possibly caused by her dissatisfaction with the physical services provided by her husband. As is known, Amangkurat III is said to be an arrogant man with no romantic qualities, apart from that, Amangkurat III is also known as a physically disabled King, therefore this King is also nicknamed Prince Kencet, because he was disabled from birth.
Loneliness and a lack of male caresses lead Ayu Lembah to go on an adventure to find a man who can fulfill her physical desires. This intention is made easier to realize because she is an Empress, the second most powerful human figure after the King whose wishes can be easily achieved if she wants something.
After going through observations, Ayu Lembah finally found a man who she thought could fulfill her monkhood, this man was named Raden Sukra, the son of Patih Sindureja who was still young at that time. Even though he was initially reluctant, Raden Sukra apparently couldn't do anything, he couldn't refuse the invitation of his Queen Consort, because refusing an Empress's request meant courting death.
The illicit relationship between Lembah Ayu and her servant continued, carried out in secret, but the affair which was carried out in secret was finally revealed, because when the two of them were making love, Amangkurat III caught him.
The revelation of Ayu Lembah's affair with Raden Sukra then caused a stir at the Palace, and was considered a bad image that tarnished the kingdom's authority. After being caught, a tragic fate befell Raden Sukra, he was cruelly killed by the royal butcher.
Not different from the tragic fate of Raden Sukra, the fate of Lembah Ayu was the same, only the process of his death was a little better. At first Ayu Lembah was cheered up, her position of empress was revoked, then she was handed over to her father Prince Puger.
Amangkurat III ordered his uncle Prince Puger to kill his own son. It was at the hands of her own father that Ayu Lembah met her death. That was the fate of Ayu Lembah Permaisuri Raja Kertasura Sultanate who was caught cheating on her.
