Microsoft's Improved Edge Browser Performance Will Be Better Than Google Chrome?

- Microsoft is rolling out a new update for the Edge browser adding a number of security and stability fixes, as well as a special internet speed test. This new feature is called Microsoft Edge, which is better than Google's browser, namely Chrome.
Quoting Tech Radar Saturday (4/5/2024), the Microsoft Edge browser update Version 124.0.2478.80 has brought a new internet speed test built into the sidebar, as well as fixes aimed at addressing several glaring security vulnerabilities highlighted by the community from the updatepreviously.
It is known that Edge did have a built-in speed tester, just like Google Chrome, but it was removed about a year ago, before being re-implemented in the sidebar. Even though it is far from interesting, it is said to be very useful. Users can use new sidebar features from the red toolbox, such as the one in the top right corner that will expand the view of recently refreshed items.
However, when the internet speed test is accessed from this menu, it will open in a separate browser window and then provide the user with upload and download scores. This new feature is a reason to consider Microsoft Edge better than Google Chrome, even though it is more popular.
Google is still getting support despite the progress made by Edge becoming Microsoft's built-in browser on Windows. Despite this, Microsoft continues to try and innovate to achieve wider popularity. Microsoft Edge may not have the level of fame and success that Google Chrome does, but a series of updates and innovations like this may be enough to turn things around.
Edge generally has lower power consumption, and most importantly is more RAM efficient than Google Chrome when under the same stress level.
Even so, the browser is still struggling to gain traction as people's web browser of choice, but continuing to roll out updates, such as a built-in internet speed test, is certainly a way to convince people of the browser's superior functionality.
