Kyai Garuda Putra train
Kraton Kasunanan Surakarta has several ancestral heritage objects which have their respective functions. One of these legacies is a golden carriage ride called Kyai Garuda Putra.
The Garuda Putra train is only used to pick up important guests & only Sinuhun, the empress & crown prince are allowed to ride it.
Kyai Garuda Putra was created in Europe at the beginning of the 19th century & is a legacy of S.I.S.K.Susuhunan Pakubuwono IX. However, this train was completed and used only during the reign of S.I.S.K. Susuhunan Pakubuwono X. Meanwhile, S.I.S.K.Susuhunan Pakubuwono XII had never once ridden Kyai Garuda Putra's train. This was because he did not have an empress & crown prince who was born from the empress.
As is known, S.I.S.K.Susuhunan Pakubuwono
After being last used around the 1940s by S.I.S.K.Susuhunan Pakubuwono XI, the Kyai Garuda Putra train was only used again by S.I.S.K.Susuhunan Pakubuwono XIII.
Apart from Susuhunan Pakubuwono XIII, those who boarded this train were A.L. namely Kartika Sari Dewi Soekarno and family, crown prince Kasunanan & Gibran Rakabuming.
