Now, Alica Schmidt has been named the sexiest athlete at the 2024 Paris Olympics. However, the 25-year-old runner underwent many twists and turns before securing a ticket to France.
Recently, he revealed he had turned down a six-figure sponsorship deal worth hundreds of thousands of pounds.
"Two months ago I received an offer from a famous brand. However, I was not 100 percent behind it."
"I don't feel comfortable with that. That's six figures for a campaign," he said as reported by The Sun.
I don't know what the strong reason is behind the rejection. He only said he did not support the brand, which he also did not name.
Alica Schmidt still chooses to stick to her income in the world of sports even though it is relatively small.
His only income from athletics is around 611 pounds or IDR 12 million per month.
"In principle, I have to say that it is not easy for most German track and field athletes to make a living from sport."

"Personally, I can't live on just this amount (of income). For many competitions, you still have to cover travel and hotel costs, which are not always covered."
