- Cristiano Ronaldo is the most successful football icon of this century. Many want to be like CR7, please follow the 'map' but are you capable?
Cristiano Ronaldo has won many trophies while defending Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, and now at Al Nassr, plus a number of individual titles. At the age of 39, Ronaldo is still fit and strong to play the full 90 minutes.
Most recently, Ronaldo was included in the Portugal national team squad for the 2024 European Cup. This was the sixth time he played in this event and was the first person to do so.
Cristiano Ronaldo became an idol. His hard work ethic was followed, his diet was followed, and his celebration became global.
Ronaldo admits that he knows very well that he is a figure who is often emulated. Ronaldo is grateful for him and hopes that there will be many players like him.
"Everyone wants to be Cristiano Ronaldo, I'll give you the map. But can you do it," he said on the Whoop podcast, a platform that operates in the sports sector and Ronaldo has just become its brand ambassador.
It's easy to search on the internet for Cristiano Ronaldo's lifestyle and training. There are also many players who admit that they are 'stinging their breath' following Ronaldo's workout.
"I have advice to anyone, if Cristiano Ronaldo invites you to lunch at his house, say no," said Patrice Evra, Ronaldo's former colleague at Manchester United.
"He once invited me. I came and the dish was just salad and plain chicken. There was also no juice, only water," he continued.
"I thought, maybe there will be a main course later. But no, because as soon as it was finished, Ronaldo immediately stood up and invited us to practice one or two touches with the ball," he added.
"After that was finished, he took me to the swimming pool and then to the sauna. He is a machine, he never stops training. So, never accept an invitation to lunch from Ronaldo," concluded Evra.
There have also been many videos and stories that Cristiano Ronaldo often does extra training alone, be it in the gym or on the training field. This is simply to enable him to continue competing at the highest level.
"It's difficult, (the key is) discipline. Discipline is the most difficult thing not only in sport but also in everyday life," stressed Ronaldo.
"In the end, small details will make a big difference. You have to challenge yourself for consistency," he adds.
"Do you want to go to the gym every day? Of course not, that's the reality. Nobody likes to go to the gym every day, but you have to do it," concluded Ronaldo.
