- Laylatul Qadar is the night that Muslims look forward to during Ramadan. Because, Lailatul Qadar has a value that is better than a thousand months. What are the signs of the night of Lailatul Qadar?
Muslims compete to achieve the glory of the night of Lailatul Qadar. Usually by doing evening worship (qiyamul lail) so that you can meet that night.
Signs of Lailatul Qadr
However, Allah SWT keeps the exact time of the arrival of Lailatul Qadar a secret from humans. Even so, there are special signs that signal the arrival of this blessed night. Here are six signs of the arrival of the night of Lailatur Qadar.

1. Natural Signs
On the day of Lailatul Qadar, nature displays unusual phenomena. As Rasulullah SAW said in a hadith when asked about the signs of the arrival of Lailatul Qadar.
Meaning: Rasulullah SAW was once asked about the signs of Lailatul Qadr, so he said: 'That is a bright and radiant night, the air is neither hot nor cold, there are no clouds and no rain, there is no movement of the wind and no stars are thrown . In the morning the sun rose brightly but not too hot." (HR. Ahmad)
2. The sun is not dazzling
The second sign of Lailatul Qadar is still about natural phenomena. Apart from the previous words, Rasulullah SAW also said that the sun would rise without glare during Laylatul Qadar.
God willing God bless you
Meaning: In the morning on the night of Lailatul Qadar, the sun rises without being dazzling, like a vessel rising high. (HR Muslim)
There is also a hadith which shows that one of the signs of Lailatul Qadar is that the sun rises and tends to be white.
may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind.
Meaning: That night was a bright night, namely the 27th night (of the month of Ramadan). And, the signs are that in the morning the sun rises white without emitting light in all directions. (HR Muslim Number 762)
3. Calm Night Atmosphere
Allah SWT will send down His mercy during Lailatul Qadar. So that day had a night with more calm than usual.
God willing
Meaning: Indeed, that night was a soft, bright night, neither hot nor cold. On that night grace descended on humans. (HR. Ahmad)
4. The Moon Looks Half Round
Another hadith also states that the moon will appear half round during Lailatul Qadar. The following is a hadith that explains this sign.
"Abu Hurairah radhiyallahu anhu said, 'We once discussed Laylatul Qadr with Rasulullah SAW, he said, 'Which of you still remembers when the moon appeared, which was half the size of a tray'." (HR. Muslim)
5. Occurs in the last days of Ramadan
Rasulullah SAW never specifically mentioned the exact time of Lailatul Qadar. However, there is a hadith that can be an indication that the night that is better than a thousand months occurs in the last 10 days of Ramadan.
Meaning: Look for the night of Lailatul Qadar (odd nights) in the last 10 days of Ramadan. (HR Bukhari and Muslim)
Moreover, Rasulullah SAW helped wake up his family to increase their worship at night for the last 10 days as Aisyah RA testified.
God willing
Meaning: The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam when he had entered the last 10 months of Ramadan, he strengthened his sarong (he was serious), made his night lively, and woke up his family. (HR Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
Apart from the words of Rasulullah SAW, several friends were reported to have had dreams that showed Lailatul Qadar coming in the last seven days.
Meaning: I also dreamed the same as your dream that Laylatul Qadar was in the last seven days, whoever tries to look for it, he should look for it in the last seven days. (muttafaqun 'alaihi from Ibn 'Umar radhiyallahu 'anhuma)
6. Happened on an Odd Night
Apart from occurring in the last 10 days, Rasulullah SAW also gave instructions that Laylatul Qadar occurs on odd nights.
God willing
Meaning: Look for Laylatul Qadar on the odd nights of the last 10 days (the month of Ramadan). (HR. Al-Bukhari from Aisyah RA)
Meanwhile, the majority of scholars suspect that Lailatul Qadar occurred on the 27th night, one of them is Al Imam As-Syafi'i. Based on this belief, many Muslim countries hold ihtifal ilailatil qadar every 27th night. Likewise with the Qur'an khatam at the Grand Mosque.
The number 27 apparently has a special reason. This is based on Surah Al-Qadr which explains that Laylatul Qadar has 30 words. The 27th word of the letter is "hiya" which is the pronoun for Laylatul Qadar. This word is located in the fifth verse.
Meaning: The night is (full of) prosperity until dawn. (QS. Al-Qadr verse 5)
There are also scholars who believe that the word Laylatul Qadar consists of nine letters and is repeated three times in Surah Al-Qadr. If multiplied it will add up to 27.
The estimate of Lailatul Qadar that approaches Muslims on the 27th night of Ramadan is also based on the words of the Prophet in the following hadith.
Meaning: (He is) the 27th night. (HR Abu Dawud, from Mu'awiyah bin Abi Sufyan radliyallahu 'anhuma, in Sahih Sunan Abi Dawud. Friend Ubay bin Ka'b radhiyallahu 'anhu emphasized:
Meaning: By Allah, I truly know that night (Lailatul Qadar). The pinnacle of my knowledge is that that night was the night that Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam ordered us to pray on, namely the 27th night. (HR Muslim)
