2024 All England Champion, Jonatan Christie Takes Home a Prize of IDR 1.4 Billion!

BIRMINGHAM - 2024 All England Champion, Jonatan Christie took home prize money of 91 thousand US dollars or the equivalent of IDR 1.4 billion. This is in accordance with the nominal prize determined by BWF and All England from the start.
Jonathan emerged victorious in the 2024 All England men's singles final at the Utilita Arena, Birmingham, England, Sunday (17/3/2024) evening WIB. The player from Jakarta beat Anthony Sinisuka Ginting in two straight games 21-15 and 21-14.
This is Jonathan's first Super 1000 level tournament title. Previously, he had won titles at the Super 300, 500 and 750 levels.
This success also resulted in Jonathan taking home a prize worth IDR 1.4 billion. Meanwhile, Anthony Ginting will pocket 44,200 US dollars or the equivalent of Rp. 691.6 million.
Not only the prize money, Jonathan also received significant additional points. The winner of the All England will get an additional 12,000 points in calculating the BWF ranking!
Meanwhile, Ginting collected 10,200 points in the BWF ranking as runner-up. Of course, this addition is very useful in qualifying for the 2024 Paris Olympics even though both of them are currently in a safe position.
After the All England, Jonathan and Anthony will again enter a break. Both of them will not take part in the next few tournaments so they can prepare more optimally for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The calculation of qualifying points itself will end on April 28 2024. Throughout the fourth month of the almanac, unfortunately no BWF World Tour tournament will be held.
Until last week, their position was actually safe. Anthony is in seventh place while Jonathan is in ninth place. Only two people from each country in the top 16 will qualify for the Olympics.
