Bagnaia Wins, Ducati Boss Praises the Asphalt Quality of the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit

Central Lombok, Beritasatu.com - The Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia motorbike racing event (MotoGP Mandalika 2023) has received praise as it enters its second year of implementation in 2023. Paolo added that the atmosphere in the paddock also seemed more positive, without being disturbed by construction activities outside the circuit location. This year, fewer racers experienced incidents due to track conditions due to weather or peeling asphalt.
Paolo Ciabatti expressed the joy of all his team members when visiting Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). There are many aspects that can be enjoyed besides of course the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, including the atmosphere of support from spectators and local residents.
"So this is indeed a good step for MotoGP to hold a race in a country where we have a lot of followers and also have a lot of motorbike riders," said Paolo.
Ducati itself dominated the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia MotoGP class competition, one of which was the success of their factory racer, Francesco Bagnaia, as champion. Bagnaia alias Pecco performed phenomenally because he actually started the race from 13th position or fifth on the grid.
Bagnaia's sweet record of victory at the 2023 Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia MotoGP repeats the record of another racer from Italy, Marco Melandri. Pecco became the first racer to win outside the fourth starting row since Melandri at the Turkish GP in 2006.

Lombok Tengah, Beritasatu.com - Gelaran balap motor Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia (MotoGP Mandalika 2023) mendapat pujian memasuki tahun penyelenggaraan kedua pada 2023 ini. Sejumlah aspek seperti lintasan Sirkuit Internasional Pertamina Mandalika maupun penyelenggaraan acara mendapat sorotan berbagai pihak, termasuk dari tim pabrikan Ducati, yang pembalapnya, Francesco Bagnaia sukses menjuarai balapan utama, Minggu (15/10/2023)
Direktur Olahraga Ducati Corse, Paolo Ciabatti mengingat jelas perhelatan perdana pada tahun 2022 mengalami beragam kendala berupa fasilitas, kondisi sirkuit, hingga cuaca buruk.
“Tahun ini kami beruntung mendapatkan cuaca yang sangat baik, agak terlalu panas, tapi kami bisa menyesuaikan. Saya rasa juga mereka melakukan pengaspalan yang baik kali ini. Aspal yang mereka pilih cocok sehingga semua kelas balapan dapat berjalan dengan baik,” ujar Paolo saat ditemui Beritasatu.com pada Minggu (15/10/2023) seusai balapan kelas MotoGP Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2023.
Paolo menambahkan suasana dalam lingkungan paddock juga terkesan lebih positif, tanpa terganggu adanya kegiatan konstruksi di luar lokasi sirkuit. Tahun ini, juga lebih sedikit pembalap yang mengalami insiden akibat kondisi lintasan karena cuaca maupun aspal yang terkelupas.
Paolo Ciabatti mengungkap rasa senang seluruh anggota timnya saat mengunjungi Lombok Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB). Banyak aspek yang bisa dinikmati selain tentunya Sirkuit Internasional Pertamina Mandalika, termasuk atmosfer dukungan dari penonton dan warga setempat.
“Jadi ini memang langkah yang bagus bagi MotoGP untuk menggelar balapan di negara di mana kita punya banyak sekali pengikut dan juga punya banyak pengendara motor,” kata Paolo.
Ducati sendiri merajai perlombaan kelas MotoGP Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia salah satunya dengan keberhasilan pembalap pabrikan mereka Francesco Bagnaia sebagai juara. Bagnaia alias Pecco tampil fenomenal karena sejatinya memulai balapan dari posisi ke-13 atau grid kelima.
Catatan manis kemenangan Bagnaia di MotoGP Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2023 mengulangi catatan pembalap lain asal Italia, Marco Melandri. Pecco menjadi pembalap pertama yang menang di luar baris keempat start sejak Melandri pada GP Turki pada Tahun 2006.
