THANKS to the help of Kyrgyzstan U-24, the Indonesian U-24 national team avoided being beaten by South Korea U-24 in the last 16 of the 2023 Asian Games. Because Kyrgyzstan U-24's victory over Taiwan U-24 with a score of 4-1 made the Indonesian U-24 national team finish. third in Group F.
The Garuda Muda squad – nicknamed the Indonesian U-24 National Team – is in danger of failing to qualify after losing 0-1 to Taiwan U-24 in the second match of Group F of the 2023 Asian Games. They face the match against North Korea U-24 with the determination to return to winning ways.

BERKAT bantuan Kirgistan U-24, Timnas Indonesia U-24 terhindar dari Korea Selatan U-24 di 16 besar Asian Games 2023. Sebab, kemenangan Kirgistan U-24 atas Taiwan U-24 dengan skor 4-1 membuat Timnas Indonesia U-24 finis ketiga di Grup F.
Skuad Garuda Muda – julukan Timnas Indonesia U-24 – terancam gagal lolos setelah kalah 0-1 dari Taiwan U-24 di partai kedua Grup F Asian Games 2023. Mereka menghadapi laga kontra Korea Utara U-24 dengan tekad untuk kembali ke jalur kemenangan.
Namun, Timnas Indonesia U-24 mengalami kesulitan untuk sekadar menciptakan peluang. Tim asuhan Indra Sjafri itu pun akhirnya kalah dengan skor 0-1 akibat gol tunggal Kim Yu Song pada menit ke-40.
Di sisi lain, Timnas Kirgistan U-24 menjadi runner-up berkat kemenangan telak 4-1 atas Taiwan U-24. Kedua hasil ini nyatanya cukup untuk membawa Timnas Indonesia U-24 lolos ke babak 16 besar sebagai salah satu tim peringkat ketiga terbaik.
Timnas Indonesia U-24 unggul dalam catatan poin atas Qatar U-24 yang sudah tidak bisa menambah poin lagi di fase grup. Skuad asuhan Indra Sjafri memiliki 3 poin, selagi Qatar finis dengan raihan satu poin.
Ada lima tim yang bersaing dalam perebutan tempat ketiga terbaik untuk empat tempat. Untuk lebih baik dari salah satu saja sudah cukup untuk meloloskan Timnas Indonesia U-24 ke babak 16 besar.
Dalam hal ini, Timnas Indonesia U-24 sudah dipastikan lebih baik daripada Qatar. Jadi, apa pun yang diraih oleh Myanmar, Vietnam, dan Thailand pada laga terakhir mereka, Minggu (24/9/2023) malam nanti WIB, tidak akan melempar Timnas Indonesia U-24 ke posisi kelima.
Dengan lolos sebagai tim peringkat ketiga terbaik, nyatanya Timnas Indonesia U-24 terhindar dari Timnas Korea Selatan U-24. Sebab, yang berhadapan dengan Timnas Korea Selatan U-24 adalah Kirgistan U-24 selaku runner-up Grup F.
Timnas Indonesia U-24 yang lolos sebagai peringkat ketiga terbaik, hanya punya satu jalur di 16 besar, yaitu menghadapi juara Grup C. Uzbekistan U-24 dipastikan menjadi juara grup setelah mengalahkan Hong Kong 1-0 di fase grup.
Dengan demikian, kemenangan Timnas Kirgistan U-24 secara tidak langsung membuat Timnas Indonesia U-24 terhindar dari Korea Selatan U-24. Meski begitu, Uzbekistan U-24 juga bukan tim yang mudah dihadapi.
