Not RF Anymore, This is a New Special Number Plate Code for Officials
Circulation of special and secret number plates coded 'RF' has been regulated. The police now have a new code for special license plates which is 'Z'.
Circulation of special and secret number plates was later put in order. This follows the widespread use of special and secret number plates on private cars that are not in accordance with their designation.
There will also no longer be official 'RF' coded number plates as of October 2023. If anyone uses these number plates after October 2023, the number plates are indicated to be fake.
"So the 10th month of 2023 will no longer use RF, QH, IR with 1 head in front of it. If there are 2024, 2025 it is a false indication so let's not play games," said the Director of Registration and Identification of Korlantas Polri Brigadier General Pol Yusri Yunus in a press conference, Thursday (22/6/2023).
Not only that, Yusri also said that he had prepared a new code to replace 'RF' on the special license plate. Yusri explained, these special number plates will be used by Echelon 1, Echelon 2, Ministries and Institutions, as well as the TNI/Polri. The new code prepared is 'Z' with the first number 1.
"It's still 1 (first number), if it's a special number it's okay I'll open it but if it's a secret number it won't. The police who used to be 'RFP' became 'ZZP', the Army 'ZZD', that's all head 1, number 1," asked Yusri.
For the issuance of special and secret number plates, Yusri explained that the Polda would immediately issue them in accordance with the directions from the National Police Traffic Corps.
After getting a recommendation, the police will verify whether the vehicle meets the rules for obtaining special and secret license plates. If so, you can only use a special number plate that is valid for one year.
"The mechanism for submitting it, so we traffic only prints STNK special and secret number plates. But from the Ministry of Institutions, the TNI, the National Police submit it to the Head of Intelligence and Security if the police copy it to the Police Propam. If the Army goes to the ground POM, the Air Force goes to the Air POM, the ministry is a copy of the respective supervision inspectorate," said Yusri.
Bukan RF Lagi, Ini Kode Baru Pelat Nomor Khusus Buat Pejabat

Tidak akan ada lagi juga pelat nomor berkode 'RF' ala pejabat per Oktober 2023. Bila ada yang menggunakan pelat nomor tersebut setelah Oktober 2023, pelat nomornya terindikasi palsu.
"Jadi bulan 10 tahun 2023 sudah tidak ada lagi pakai RF, QH, IR yang kepala 1 di depannya. Kalau ada yang 2024, 2025 itu indikasi palsu jadi biar enggak main-main," kata Direktur Registrasi dan Identifikasi Korlantas Polri Brigjen Pol Yusri Yunus dalam konferensi pers, Kamis (22/6/2023).
Tak cuma itiu, Yusri juga mengatakan sudah menyiapkan kode baru sebagai pengganti 'RF' pada pelat nomor khusus. Dijelaskan Yusri, pelat nomor khusus ini akan digunakan oleh Eselon 1, Eselon 2, Kementerian dan Lembaga, serta TNI/Polri. Adapun kode baru yang disiapkan adalah 'Z' dengan angka depan 1.
"Tetap 1 (angka depannya), kalau nomor khusus enggak apa-apa saya buka tapi kalau nomor rahasia enggak. Polisi yang tadinya 'RFP' jadi 'ZZP', Angkatan Darat 'ZZD', kan gitu semuanya kepala 1, angka 1," beber Yusri.
Untuk penerbitan pelat nomor khusus dan rahasia, Yusri menjelaskan akan langsung diterbitkan oleh Polda sesuai dengan arahan dari Korlantas Polri.
Setelah mendapatkan rekomendasi, polisi akan melakukan verifikasi apakah kendaraan tersebut memenuhi aturan untuk mendapatkan pelat nomor khusus dan rahasia. Jika iya, baru bisa menggunakan pelat nomor khusus yang berlaku selama satu tahun.
"Mekanisme pengajuannya, jadi kami lalu lintas cuma cetak STNK pelat nomor khusus dan rahasia saja. Tetapi dari Kementeian Lembaga, TNI, Polri mengajukannya kepada Kabag Intelkam kalau polisi tembusan ke Propam polisi. Kalau Angkatan Darat ke POM darat, Angkata Udara ke POM Udara, kementerian lembaga tembusan inspektorat pengawasan masing-masing," ujar Yusri.
