Visit RPTRA Kalijodo, Djarot Disappointed His Leftovers While with Ahok Was Very Unkempt

Former DKI Jakarta Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat recently visited the Child Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA) and Kalijodo Green Open Space (RTH), North Jakarta.

Djarot's visit to RPTRA Kalijodo was uploaded on his personal Instagram account on Tuesday (4/4/2023). He highlighted that the public facilities he and the previous governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) built, were not maintained.

"Kalijodo after five years ago we fixed it into RTH-RPTRA. Sales stalls are crowded, cracks in buildings, not maintained and mountains of trash. Sad and disappointed," Djarot wrote on his Instagram account, quoted on Sunday (9/4/ 2023).

While pointing at the cracked part of the wall, Djarot said the condition was very dangerous and had the potential to collapse. He had mentioned his disappointment at the former governor after his death, Anies Baswedan,

"Well, yes, it's been five years since Mr. Anies didn't take care of him," said Djarot.

Not only is the wall cracked, in the video several parts of the ornaments at the RPTRA and RTH Kalijodo are also recorded which are damaged. The asphalt layer in the skateboard area is also peeling off.

Due to this situation, Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono also visited there on Saturday (8/4/2023).

Heru Budi ordered the DKI Jakarta City Parks and Forest Service to repair and maintain damaged buildings and facilities.

Heru Budi ordered the DKI Jakarta City Parks and Forest Service to repair and maintain damaged buildings and facilities.

"Including repairing the canopy, painting, and others," said Heru.

Apart from that, Heru asked his staff to hold various routine activities there. One of them is the BMX bicycle championship to celebrate the anniversary of DKI Jakarta next June.

“I asked for routine activities here, I will come informally later. I asked the Parks and City Forest Service to communicate with the BMX community to organize activities," said Heru.
