U-20 World Cup: PSSI Closes Israel's Option to Play in Other Countries

There was a proposal for Israel to play in another country at the 2023 U-20 World Cup. PSSI stated that this was very difficult to happen.

The proposal is considered to be an alternative so that the U-20 World Cup can still be held. Because there was a wave of rejection of Israel's participation.

Singapore is one of the countries raised to be an alternative location for Israel. One of the reasons is due to geographical proximity so that the mobilization process is not too difficult.

"For Singapore, the problem is that we submitted (bidding) from the beginning, only one country (Indonesia). So it could be, but it might be rejected because Singapore did not submit itself," said PSSI Executive Committee (Exco) member Arya Sinulingga, Sunday (26/3) /2023).

"That means we have to lobby the Singapore government. So when bidding is done by the two countries from the start, not in the middle or at the end," he added.

Apart from that, PSSI will continue to strive for the U-20 World Cup to be held in Indonesia. Lobbying will be carried out considering that the government has already spent a large amount of money on this U-20 World Cup celebration.

Don't let what you have dreamed of and worked for for a long time suddenly vanish in the middle of the road. At this time, suspicions began to appear that the U-20 World Cup could be canceled in Indonesia.

"Every way will be done, lobbied so that on the one hand the organizers of the road. On the other hand we are not isolated," said Arya.
