The Last Of Us Episode 9 Sets a Record Winning 8.2 Million Viewers

The Last of Us set a new record in episode 9 or the last episode of its first season. Based on Warner Bros. the episode titled Look for The Light was watched by up to 8.2 million people.
As Variety reported on Monday (13/3), this figure is the highest since its first broadcast, especially since the final episode aired at the same time as the 2023 Oscars.
This figure increased from episode 8 which collected 8.1 million viewers. Thus, The Last of Us proved successful in attracting the attention of many people even though it aired simultaneously with international events.
Apart from the Oscar, The Last of Us also 'fought over' audiences with a Grammy for episode 4. At that time, the episode titled Please Hold to My Hand garnered 7.5 million viewers.
On the other hand, The Last of Us' final episode performance increased by around 75 percent throughout season 1. The first episode got 4.7 million viewers and closed with 8.2 million viewers for the last episode.
Long before the end of the first season, since January 2023 to be precise, The Last of Us has been confirmed to be continuing into season 2.
