Solo, - President Jokowi and First Lady Iriana Jokowi watch a concert by British rock band Deep Purple at the UMS Edutorium, Solo, Central Java, Friday (10/3/2023). On that occasion, Jokowi and Iriana appeared in casual clothes.
Jokowi and Iriana wore long-sleeved shirts, trousers and sneakers. The President watched since the band's opening performance until Deep Purple performed.
President Jokowi did not give a statement to journalists about the Deep Purple concert. However, he greeted the media crew and the audience who had been waiting in front of the exit.
"Pak Jokowi, Pak Jokowi," shouted the audience at the Deep Purple concert calling for President Jokowi, as quoted by Antara.
Deep Purple included Solo as one of the locations for the Deep Purple World Tour 2023 world tour, that night they anesthetized the audience, including through the songs Highway Star, Picture of Home, and No Need To Shout.
Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Ian Paice, Don Airey and Simon Mcbride also performed Uncommon Man, which they dedicated to Jon Lord, their keyboard player who died in 2012.
After briefly saying goodbye to the audience, Deep Purple appeared on stage again and played their last two songs, Hush and Black Night.
Apart from President Jokowi and his family, Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo also watched the Deep Purple concert with his wife and children.
