The New Britain Island is the largest island found in the Bismarck Archipelago of Papua New Guinea found in the Southwestern side of the Pacific Ocean.

The island measures 600 km long and 80 km wide with a crescent-shaped landmass that has a 1,600 km coastline bordered by spectacular reefs.
