The choice of the form of the ballet as the storyteller of the hero or commonly called the Ramayana epic is because the ballet prioritizes expression -enhancing movements.as a substitute for dialogue, so it is hoped that the delivery of the epic Ramayana can be more easily understood with different cultural backgrounds and audience languages.
The story of Ramayana is Rama 's journey in rescuing his wife Sita (commonly called Sinta in Java ) who was kidnapped by the king of Alengka , Ravana . The Prambanan Ramayana Ballet is usually held every Tuesday , Thursday and Saturday , performances on an open stage only during the dry month, other than that performances are held on a closed stage
