CELEBRATING BRITISH TRADITIONS QU
PALACE WE TRULY LOVED AND RESPECTED THE QUEEN
- BEING A PROUD BRIT 🇬🇧
BRITISH AND QUEUING UP
- The British are known for their love of queuing up, normally out of tradition, politeness and good manners.
But with up to 1 million mourners over 4 days patiently queuing up to 14 hours over 4.5 miles, to view HM the Queen's coffin lying in state at Westminster Palace, the British have taken queuing to a new level.
Mourners want to show their love and mark respect for the Queen who was monarch and Head of State for 70 years, - A remarkable woman who led and steered postwar Britain into a modern diverse, multicultural society with so many opportunities and privileges that we enjoy today.
THE QUEUE starts from Albert Embankment near Lambeth Bridge, before crossing River Thames to Southwark Park, a distance of 4.5 miles. The route takes in key London landmarks, many symbolic of Queen Elizabeth's reign like London Eye, National Theatre, Tate Modern and HMS Belfast, Borough Market, London Festival Hall, Globe Theatre, Lambeth Palace etc.
This official state funeral has been meticulously planned for decades and involves tens of thousands of officials and volunteers.
- On Monday 19th September, over 2,000 dignitaries including world leaders will bid the Queen farewell at a funeral at Westminster Abbey
- These are unprecedented scenes of grief, love, respect and loyalty for the Queen unlikely to be seen ever again in Britain.
- At GREATER BRITS we celebrate the culture, traditions and values of Britain, one British community at a Time.🇬🇧
