Google Messages Application Can Get New Security Features Upgrade

Aplikasi Google Messages Dapat Upgrade Fitur Keamanan Baru

HOLIDAY NEWS - The presence of the Android 15 OS version brings new features for users, starting from anti-theft features and the Find My system with biometric checks.

After this feature, Google is now focusing on the Messages application. Google says the Messages app will rely on on-device AI intelligence to detect scammy texts.

The feature will warn users about scam messages and will automatically place them in the spam folder. This feature has started to be rolled out to beta testers, quoted from Digitaltrends.

Furthermore, Google is expanding its security scanning system that automatically looks for potentially dangerous links or URLs. The system recognizes URLs that may harm users such as installing malware packages to redirect users to phishing portals.

So far, this system has been tested in several Asian countries, including India. Now, Google says it will expand smart URL alerts to Messages users worldwide before the end of this year.

However, there is still the possibility that users will get caught in a carefully orchestrated network of online fraud, for example messages that appear urgent. To avoid such scenarios, Google will offer an additional layer of protection that blocks messages from unknown international senders.
