The moon with a large perfect circle greeted the people of Earth at 01.26 WIB. Even though it's called Blue Moon, that doesn't mean it will be blue.
Blue Moon is a term used to refer to the second full moon in a month of the Gregorian calendar. However, if you look at the size, the Blue Full Moon will appear larger than the usual Moon.
The Blue Moon can be seen in Indonesia in a few hours. On average, a Blue Full Moon occurs once every 33 months, 41 times per century, or about seven times every 19 years.

First, the seasonal Blue Moon which refers to the third full moon in a season that has four full moons. This is the traditional definition of a Blue Moon and the type that will be seen on August 19, 2024. Secondly, the Blue Moon arises from a misunderstanding of the original definition, namely that it only refers to the second full moon in a calendar month. According to Time and Date, currently this monthly Blue Moon concept is accepted as an alternative definition, not a mistake. Even though the Blue Moon "officially" rose at 01.26 WIB early this Monday, August 19 2024, this phenomenon will appear almost full moon on the following nights.

Bulan dengan lingkaran sempurna berukuran besar itu menyapa warga Bumi pada pukul 01.26 WIB. Meskipun namanya Blue Moon, bukan berarti warnanya akan menjadi biru.
Bulan Biru adalah istilah untuk menyebut Bulan Purnama kedua dalam satu bulan kalender Masehi. Namun, apabila dilihat ukuran, maka Bulan Purnama Biru akan tampak lebih besar dari Bulan biasanya.
Blue Moon bisa disaksikan di Indonesia dalam beberapa jam lagi. Rata-rata, Bulan Purnama Biru terjadi setiap 33 bulan sekali, 41 kali per abad, atau sekitar tujuh kali setiap 19 tahun.

Ada dua jenis Blue Moon , tetapi keduanya sama sekali tidak ada hubungannya dengan warna biru. Pertama, Blue Moon musiman yang mengacu pada purnama ketiga dalam satu musim yang memiliki empat purnama.
Ini adalah definisi tradisional Blue Moon dan jenis yang akan dilihat pada 19 Agustus 2024. Kedua, Blue Moon yang muncul dari kesalahpahaman definisi aslinya, yakni hanya merujuk pada purnama kedua dalam satu bulan kalender.
Menurut Time and Date, saat ini konsep Blue Moon bulanan ini diterima sebagai definisi alternatif, bukan kesalahan. Kendati Blue Moon ‘secara resmi' terbit pada pukul 01.26 WIB Senin dini hari ini, 19 Agustus 2024, namun, fenomena tersebut akan tampak hampir purnama pada malam-malam setelahnya.
