Today, Google is celebrating the 79th Birthday of the Republic of Indonesia or the Republic of Indonesia's 79th Anniversary through Google Doodle today, Saturday (17/8/2024).
Through the search pages Google.co.id and Google.com, we will see Google Doodles in the form of a carnival or parade.
There is a Garuda bird character leading a parade followed by people wearing masks and traditional clothing.
One of the characters appears to be carrying a red and white flag.
There are a total of five characters appearing in today's Google Doodle for the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.
Each character represents a letter that makes up the word "Google".
If the Google Doodle is clicked, the user will be directed to search results with the keyword "Indonesian Independence Day".
Users will also be "sawed" with red and white paper. "Today's Doodle celebrates Indonesia's 79th Independence Day. This Doodle was created by an artist from Bali, Monez," wrote Google on its official page.
According to Google, this Doodle represents the diverse expanse of Indonesia's islands, united in a harmonious blend that symbolizes the nation's collective strength and unity in diversity.
Google also said that this Doodle was created to honor the richness of cultural heritage and the future with the theme "New Archipelago, Advanced Indonesia".
"This doodle is inspired by Indonesia's rich culture, combining elements from the archipelago, such as intricate batik patterns, graceful traditional dance movements, and the atmosphere of a parade; including the spirit of innovation that drives the nation forward," wrote Google.
Google said the bright colors and details captured in today's Doodle reflect Indonesia's journey, from its historical roots to its modernity. "Embodying the spirit of independence and the never-give-up drive towards a prosperous future," said Google.

Hari ini Google ikut merayakan Hari Ulang Tahun ke-79 Republik Indonesia atau HUT ke-79 RI melalui Google Doodle hari ini, Sabtu (17/8/2024).
Melalui laman pencarian Google.co.id dan Google.com, kita akan melihat Google Doodle berupa karnaval atau pawai.
Terlihat ada karakter burung garuda memimpin sebuah pawai diikuti orang-orang yang mengenakan topeng dan pakaian tradisional.
Salah satu karakter tampak membawa bendera merah putih.
Ada total sebanyak lima karakter yang tampil dalam Google Doodle HUT ke-79 RI hari ini.
Setiap karakter mewakili huruf yang membentuk kata "Google".
Jika Google Doodle tersebut diklik, pengguna akan diarahkan ke hasil pencarian dengan kata kunci "Hari Kemerdekaan Indonesia".
Pengguna juga akan "disawer" dengan kertas-kertas berwarna merah putih.
"Doodle hari ini merayakan Hari Kemerdekaan ke-79 Indonesia. Doodle ini dibuat oleh seniman asal Bali, Monez," tulis Google di halaman resminya.
Menurut Google, Doodle ini mewakili hamparan pulau-pulau Indonesia yang beragam, bersatu dalam perpaduan harmonis yang melambangkan kekuatan kolektif bangsa dan persatuan dalam keberagaman.
Google juga mengatakan, Doodle ini dibuat untuk menghormati kekaaan warisan budaya dan bisi masa depan dengan tema "Nusantara Baru, Indonesia Maju".
"Doodle ini terinspirasi dari budaya Indonesia yang kaya, memadukan unsur-unsur dari nusantara, seperti pola batik yang rumit, gerakan tari tradisional yang anggun, dan suasana parade; termasuk semangat inovasi yang mendorong bangsa maju," tulis Google.
Google mengatakan, warna-warna cerah dan detail yang diambil dalam Doodle hari ini mencerminkan perjalanan Indonesia, dari akar sejarah hingga kemodernannya.
"Mewujudkan semangat kemerdekaan dan dorongan pantang menyerah menuju masa depan yang sejahtera," kata Google.
