HOLIDAY NEWS - Google is adding the ability to scan barcodes and QR codes to its Circle to Search feature, which will eliminate the need for a separate scanning app and simplify the process of retrieving code-related information.
According to a Phone Arena broadcast on Friday (30/8), Google is quietly working on improving the feature's capabilities and indications of its development efforts surface in May 2024, followed by a demo of the feature a month later.
Once the update is rolled out to phones, Circle to Search will automatically be able to recognize and scan barcodes or QR codes found on web pages or in images when the feature is enabled. A small chip will appear above the code, providing a direct link to the relevant information or website related to it.
The Circle to Search feature update is expected to roll out widely targeting users of Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy devices.
Users who want to try the feature update can access the web page or open an image with a QR code then long press the home button or navigation handle to launch Circle to Search. After that, the chip should appear automatically, eliminating the need to manually circle the code. The enhanced capabilities are part of Google's continued efforts to improve the functionality of Circle to Search.
In the latest update, the feature added a Share button to make it easier for users to share selected content with their contacts.

HOLIDAY NEWS - Google menambahkan kemampuan memindai kode batang dan kode QR pada fitur Circle to Search, yang akan meniadakan kebutuhan akan aplikasi pemindaian terpisah dan menyederhanakan proses pengambilan informasi terkait kode.
Menurut siaran Phone Arena pada Jumat (30/8), Google diam-diam mengerjakan peningkatan kemampuan fitur tersebut dan indikasi upaya pengembangannya mengemuka pada Mei 2024, yang diikuti dengan demo fitur sebulan kemudian.
Setelah pembaruan itu dihadirkan di ponsel, Circle to Search akan secara otomatis bisa mengenali dan memindai kode batang atau kode QR yang ada di halaman web atau dalam gambar saat fitur diaktifkan.
Sebuah chip kecil akan muncul di atas kode, menyediakan tautan langsung ke informasi yang relevan atau situs web yang berkaitan dengannya.
Pembaruan fitur Circle to Search diperkirakan akan diluncurkan secara luas dengan sasaran pengguna perangkat Google Pixel dan Samsung Galaxy.
Pengguna yang ingin mencoba pembaruan fitur bisa mengakses halaman web atau membuka gambar dengan kode QR kemudian menekan lama tombol home atau pegangan navigasi untuk meluncurkan Circle to Search.
