- Google's parent company, Alphabet, is reportedly preparing US$ 23 billion (Rp. 372 trillion) to acquire Israeli cyber security startup Wiz. If realized, this corporate action will be the most expensive acquisition by Google in history.

TechCrunch, citing The Wall Street Journal, reports that the boss of Google's cloud division, Thomas Kurian, is personally leading negotiations on Wiz's annexation by Google.
Wiz is a company that operates in the field of cyber security. The startup founded in 2020 makes security software specifically used for cloud servers. Google and Wiz, according to Tech Crunch, have agreed on a purchase price. However, the acquisition process faces many regulatory and detailed challenges.
The purchase price offered by Google is double Wiz's last valuation. When announcing Series E funding worth US$ 1 billion, the company's valuation reached US$ 12 billion.

Wiz claims to have recorded annual recurring revenue of US$ 350 million (Rp. 5.6 trillion) in May 2024 and has the ambition to reach annual revenue of US$ 1 billion (Rp. 16.2 trillion) in 2025.
If it becomes part of Google, Wiz has the opportunity to boost its sales by leveraging the list of Google Cloud users.
Wiz was founded in Israel by Assaf Rappaport, Yinon Costica, Ami Luttwak, and Roy Reznik. Today 150 of Wiz's 900 employees are based in Israel. However, the company also has offices in the United States, Europe and Asia Pacific.
However, it is unlikely that money from Google will flow to Israel. At the last round of funding, Wiz confirmed that it would not expand in Israel due to the controversy over changes to the judicial system by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government. At that time, the company plans to focus on adding employees in the United States.

Induk usaha Google, Alphabet, dikabarkan menyiapkan US$ 23 miliar (Rp 372 triliun) untuk akuisisi startup keamanan siber asal Israel, Wiz.

Saat mengumumkan pendanaan Seri E senilai US$ 1 miliar, valuasi perusahaan mencapai US$ 12 miliar.
