The player, who officially became an Indonesian citizen (WNI) in March 2024, said that supporters often follow him everywhere, even to the hotel where he is staying.
"The hotel we stayed in was very big. But there were always them (supporters) who were there all day," said Thom Haye to Omrop Fryslan, quoted by VIVA Sunday, June 16 2024.
“They were very friendly, kind and enthusiastic,” said Thom Haye.
"They also always want to take photos while carrying the jersey and always want to give you gifts such as key chains, clothes and even hats," he continued.
