New Features in Kaspersky iOS and Android Application Updates
- Kaspersky announced the launch of improved iOS and Android mobile applications, with updates focused on security, privacy and usability improvements. Among the new features available in the iOS app are a Security Scan button, a Private Browsing option, and a Siri shortcut feature that easily enables VPN.

To ensure security for cellphone users, Kaspersky presents its latest applications for iOS and Android. This upgrade offers new features that provide a higher level of protection in the digital realm, enhanced privacy, and improved usability for a smooth and comfortable user experience.

Kaspersky for iOS devices has been updated with a series of new features, including:
Security Scan button, which checks all security systems on the smartphone and helps users activate the most powerful protection mode. For example, users can receive recommendations to enable VPN, Anti-Phishing, and other security features.

Private Browsing extension for Safari browser. This prevents tracking systems from collecting information about user activities to monitor their behavior. Additionally, iOS owners can use Safari's Anti-Banner element to block banner ads, including potentially harmful ads.

Siri Shortcuts feature to improve usability: by simply tapping a button and saying, “Hey Siri,” users can easily turn their VPN on and off with a voice command. This option is available for consumer solutions equipped with VPN, such as standalone Kaspersky VPN, Kaspersky Premium, and Kaspersky Plus
Privacy protection for both mobile platforms is enhanced with the new Identity Theft Check feature. This empowers users to track all leaks from accounts connected to a specific phone number and to take immediate protective action, such as changing passwords on affected accounts.

Currently, Identity Theft Check is available exclusively at the most comprehensive consumer solution level – Kaspersky Premium – and can be activated on smartphones after purchasing it on the Kaspersky website. Later this year, Kaspersky Premium will also be available directly to purchase via the app.

Another long-awaited update is Dark Mode. This is an important aspect of the UX design available on iOS and Android platforms, allowing users to enjoy a more comfortable viewing experience.
“Because we spend so much time online using smartphones, mobile devices require protection that is as strong, or even stronger, than that available on desktops,” he said.

"We continue to develop and improve our mobile apps for iOS and Android, combining a variety of functions for comprehensive protection, including anti-phishing, VPN, anti-spyware, online privacy, identity protection, and of course, antivirus. The superior quality of our protection is further validated by independent testing organizations such as AV-Comparatives, which recognized our consumer product line as Product of the year in 2023,” commented Marina Titova, Vice President, Consumer Product Marketing at Kaspersky.
