ARISTOTLE ON THE SIDE OF THE LAKE

ARISTOTLE ON THE SIDE OF THE LAKE
On the shore of a calm lake, with the water sparkling in the afternoon sun, Aristotle and his student Timos sat on a wooden bench. A gentle breeze blew, carrying the fresh scent of the surrounding trees. However, sadness was clearly visible on Timos' face, his tears flowed non-stop.

Aristotle: "Son, what's wrong? I see your heart is hurting deeply."

Timos: "Teacher, I lost my father last week. He was my hero, the person who always taught me about life. Now he is gone, and I feel like half of my soul is missing."

Aristotle: "I am very sorry to hear that. Losing a father is one of the greatest trials in life. However, behind every loss, there are valuable lessons that we can learn."

Timos: "What can I learn from this loss, Master? It feels like there is only sadness and emptiness."

Aristotle: "Let me tell you a story. Look at this lake, it is so calm and peaceful. However, several years ago, there was a big storm which caused the water of this lake to overflow and damaged many things around it. Much was lost at that time, starting from plants, and many other plants, and people felt hopeless. But after the storm passed, they started to see something extraordinary."

Timos: "What are they looking at, Master?"

Aristotle: "They saw that the overflowing water had brought new nutrients to the surrounding land. The withered plants and herbs began to grow again more vigorously and vigorously. The devastating storm apparently also brought new life. The loss they experienced made them appreciate and care for the land and water more."

Timos: "So, Master means that losing my father can bring something good?"

Aristotle: "Yes, son. Loss teaches us to appreciate the true value of what we have. When your father was around, perhaps we didn't always realize how valuable every piece of advice, every hug, every moment with him was. "Now, with this loss, you learn not to take the people around you for granted."

Timos: "But, how can I continue life without Dad?"

Aristotle: "Look at this lake again. Even though the storm has passed and left scars, this lake remains and even the land has become more fertile. Your father will always be a part of you, like a lake that holds the memories of every drop of water that has ever fallen in it. By remembering and cherishing the memories with him, you will find the strength to move on."

Timos: "I find it very difficult, Master. Every place reminds me of Dad."

Aristotle: "That's what makes memories so precious, son. Every place, every moment with your Dad, is proof of how much he loved you and how important he was in your life. "This loss teaches us to appreciate the people who are still around us more, to love them with all our hearts, because we never know how long we will be with them."

Timos: "I understand, Master. I will try to appreciate and love my family and my remaining friends more."

Aristotle: "That's the greatest lesson from loss, son. Loss teaches us about love, about appreciating every moment, and about the power to continue living with beautiful memories in our hearts."

With wise words from his Master, Timos felt his heart begin to heal. They sat by the lake, watching the sunset, and felt peace slowly filling their hearts. Through loss, they learn to appreciate and love those who are still there, realizing that every moment is a gift to be cherished.
