A total of 76 out of a total of 153 thousand students in Indonesia were declared to have passed the recruitment and selection stage for candidates for the 2024 Central Level Heritage Flag Hoisting Troop (Paskibraka) to be assigned to the Archipelago Capital (IKN), East Kalimantan on 17 August 2024.
Reporting from Antara, Paskibraka candidates from high school and equivalent students were recruited since March 2024 from 38 provinces representing 514 districts/cities.
"The total number of people who have qualified for the national level is 76 people, consisting of one pair each from each province to be sent to IKN on August 10 2024. "They will be on duty during the Republic of Indonesia's 79th Anniversary Ceremony," said Rima Agristina, Deputy Head of the Republic of Indonesia's Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP).
For prospective participants who do not pass the central level Paskibraka selection and recruitment process, Rima ensures that they are still assigned as provincial and district/city level Paskibraka officers according to the assessment weight.
He said that the verification results of the 2024 Central Level Paskibraka candidates had been submitted to the entire Provincial Level Selection Committee on Friday (21/6/2024).
Risma, who is also the Paskibraka Program Director, ensures that the Paskibraka formation process is carried out in stages.
Since the formation process at the district/city level, BPIP has monitored the implementation of recruitment and selection, so that it is carried out according to the standards set by BPIP.
In implementation at the provincial level, the central selection committee is present in 38 provinces, overseeing the implementation of recruitment and selection at the provincial level.
Both through technical guidance which was carried out offline on 30-31 January 2024 in Jakarta, as well as technical guidance which was delivered in writing.
To ensure the quality of Central Level Paskibraka candidates, starting in 2024 verification of Central Level Paskibraka candidates will be carried out centrally in Jakarta.
"Based on the results of the selection at the provincial level, the selection committee carried out initial health checks on four people each, two pairs of Paskibraka candidates in order of highest rank in the province," he said.
The results of the health examination are then sent to the Central Committee for initial verification.
If the initial verification results show that the requirements criteria are not met, then the Paskibraka candidate will not qualify to become a Central Level Paskibraka candidate.
The Central Level Selection Committee then asked the Provincial Level Selection Committee to send replacement candidates, namely candidates with lower ranks at the provincial level, to undergo an initial health examination.
Next, Paskibraka candidates from each province take part in verification in Jakarta.
"Verification in Jakarta is carried out even more strictly with medical examinations involving specialist doctors and psychologists," he said.
