Papa S Confession Seeing His Wife Sharing Blanket with Pastor Romo Gusti

East Manggarai - V alias Papa S revealed the chronology of his wife being caught cheating with Father Agustinus Iwanti, Kisol Parish Pastor in Kota Komba District, East Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). Papas admitted that he saw Father Gusti hugging a blanket in the room.
"I found my wife and Father sleeping together under one blanket," said Papa S in a written statement received by detikBali, Tuesday (30/4/2024). He found Father Gusti and his wife, Mama S, in one room in their house in the early hours of Wednesday (24/4/2024). Papa S was shocked to see this reality.
He then pulled the blanket. It turned out that Father Gustri and his wife were hugging.
"I saw them hugging," he added.
Papa S admits that he has a good relationship with Father Gusti and considers him his own family. However, he dismissed Father Gusti's clarification that he did not admit to having slept with Mama S. The incident where Father Gusti was caught alone with Mama S occurred in one of the rooms in Papa S's family house in Rende Village, Lembur Village, Kota Komba District. Rende Village is part of Father Gusti's pastoral ministry area and Mama S is part of Father Gusti's congregation.
Papa S revealed that Father Gusti and his entourage had dinner at his house on Tuesday (23/4/2024) evening. According to him, Father Gusti's arrival was initially conveyed via WhatsApp (WA) message to his wife. Papa S showed a screenshot of his wife's conversation with Father Gusti.
Papa S explained that the priest who has been serving at Kisol Parish since 2022 arrived at his house at around 20.00 WITA. He came with four employees of the Kisol Parish Rectory, consisting of two women and two men. At around 21.00 WITA, Father Gusti, Papa S, Mama S, and one of the male rectory employees with the initials K, played cards. Meanwhile, three other employees slept.
In the early hours of Wednesday (24/4/2024), Father Gusti said goodbye to returning to the rectory. However, Mama S offered Father Gusti to stay at the house because it was late at night. Father Gusti accepted the offer.
They then shared a bedroom.
Initially, Father Gusti was invited to sleep in the room near the dining table. Father Gusti asked K to sleep with him, but the rectory employee refused. Papa S and K then planned to sleep on the sofa in the front of the living room.
Not long after, his wife asked Papa S to have Father Gusti move bedrooms. Papa S admitted that he had rejected it. However, his wife continued to insist on the grounds that it was not good for Father Gusti to sleep in the room next to the dining table.
With a heavy heart, Papa S continued, agreeing to his wife's request. Father Gusti finally moved into the room according to his wife's request. "Then I asked Father to sleep in the room and Father agreed," said Papa S.
Papa S and K then moved to the room originally prepared for Father Gusti. Meanwhile, Mama S slept in the room with her children and female rectory employees. One other room was occupied by his son along with a male rectory employee.
Papa S Sees Wife Entering Father Gusti's Room
At around 02.00 WITA, Papa S saw his wife come to the room he shared with K. Papa S began to become suspicious that his wife was not asleep. He then saw his wife enter Father Gusti's room.
Feeling strange, Papa S then followed his wife to Father Gusti's room which was not locked. That's when he found his wife and Father Gusti sleeping hugging each other under a blanket on the bed.
After removing the blanket, Papa S slapped Father Gusti and his wife. At that time he cried and screamed to vent his anger. Papa Gusti also threatened to kill his wife. Papa S rushed to the kitchen to get a machete. When he returned to the room with the machete in his hand, his wife was gone. Meanwhile, Father Gusti remained in the room and tried to calm Papa S.
Everyone in the house woke up because of Papa S' screams. His second child with the initial S ran out of the house after his mother.
"I got emotional and angry and slapped them both. I cried and shouted threatening Mama S," explained Papa S. Father Gusti tried to secure the machete from Papa S's hand. The two of them struggled on the bed. At that time, Papa S cursed Romo until he was separated from S.
"Seeing me holding a machete, Father Gusti pushed and pinned my body on the bed while securing the machete in my hand so that it wouldn't chase my wife. I was very devastated. I cried while cursing Father Gusti because I felt betrayed," said Papa S.
A few moments later, S returned and slammed the door with great emotion. Father Gusti then knelt down and apologized to Papa S while crying. "Father Gusti knelt down and begged for forgiveness and cried, saying, 'Father S, ampong (forgive me), I was wrong. You just hit me'. This was conveyed to me approximately four times," said Papa S.
At around 03.00 WITA, Father Gusti prostrated himself again and apologized to Papa S. Father Gusti asked Papa S to keep the incident that occurred in the room a secret. "Father S, I'm sorry. I've already been with Mama S. Please keep this case quiet, because if it (Papa S) is revealed, I will be devastated," said Papa S while imitating Father Gusti's words.
On Wednesday evening, Papa S reported the incident to Kevikepan Borong. Kevikepan is a regional structure under the diocese. Kevikepan Borong oversees a number of parishes, including Kisol Parish. Papa S was accompanied by one of his children and two younger brothers-in-law when reporting to Kevikepan Borong. The report was received directly by Vikep Borong Father Simon Nama.
Until now, Mama S's whereabouts are unknown. Papa S admitted that he did not know where his wife was since he was caught cuddling under the same blanket as Father Gusti. Previously, Father Gusti denied accusations that he had slept with someone's wife. In his written clarification, Father Gusti admitted that he was in the room with the woman until her husband raided her. However, Father Gusti emphasized that at that time they were fully clothed.
Father Gusti said he slept with the bedroom door open and only covered with a cloth curtain. He admitted that he woke up after Papa S shouted and threatened murder in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Father Gusti claimed that he only realized that Mama S was in his room after Papa S screamed. He said Mama S was still fully clothed in her room. Likewise with him. Mama S then ran out of the room and Father Gusti stood up to Papa S to calm him down.
"At that time I was still fully clothed with a blanket and got up to approach Mr. S," explained Father Gusti.
The Diocese of Ruteng emphasized that Father Gusti's case will be processed according to Church Law. The priest was also disabled from serving Catholics in the parish.
