OLD HOLLYWOOD GLAMOUR
Gigi Hadid (in a Thom Browne gown) and Penelope Cruz (in a Chanel gown) brought classic Hollywood style with short, curly bobs parted at the edges. Gigi with red lips and natural high eyebrows, Penelope gives the impression of a black swan with smoky eye makeup.
FAIRYTALE PRINCESS
Elle Fanning , Ariana Grande and Karol G seem to agree on choosing fairytale princess and fairy makeup. Elle (in a Balmain dress) opted for minimal but glowing makeup. Ariana (in a Loewe gown) wore her signature ponytail, as well as shimmer on her eyes for fairy-like makeup. Karol G (in a Marc Jacobs gown) also looked pixie-like, with white hair flowing down to her waist and natural make-up.
SILVER & GOLD
Amanda Seyfried (in a Prada dress) appeared with silver hair to match her dress and neatly tied in a bun leaving the front part to decorate her forehead, and burgundy on her eyes and lips. Amelia Gray (in a Jun Takahashi gown) in her Met Gala debut also opted for burgundy shades, but combined them with gold.
WET GODDESS
Rebecca Hall (in a Danielle Frankel gown) was all floral (literally!) with her wet hair pulled back. Her make-up was kept minimal with shades of pink used on her eyes and lips. Iris Law (in Atelier Versace ) also opted for hair, as well as smoky gray eye makeup with a slit on both eyebrows. Edgy!
GOTH-INFUSED
Zendaya (in a Maison Margiela Artisanal gown) and Emma Chamberlain (in a Jean Paul Gaultier gown) opted for dark, intense eye makeup, paired with dark lipstick as well. Zendaya added dramatic effect with wispy eyebrows and a spectacular headpiece.
